Cryptocurrencies Are Saving Lives Despite Crash In Price (Ukraine, Gaza And Kabul)
In the past few months, the unrest in these locations have heighten and the crisis doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon. Regardless of the bear market and crash in prices of cryptos generally, cryptocurrencies have played a huge role in providing aid and relief for those affected by the crisis in these regions. Cryptocurrencies were the easiest and fastest ways of getting funds and donations from across to the world due to the limitations faced by the banking and financial institutions in these locations.
With Ukraine for example, there were donations from almost every part of the world to the Ukraine government to relief their citizens and assist in their defence against the Russian invasion. The cryptocurrencies donated came in swiftly and could be accessed by the government almost immediately to provide bulletproof vest, food, medicine and weapons. Although the crash affected the dollar value of the donations, cryptos are still one of the best ways to donate to the Ukraine government for provision of aid and relief to their citizens in these times of war.
With Gaza (Palestine), cryptocurrencies have also come to the rescue of the citizens in their current crisis. Palestinians have been locked out of many banks / payment apps and cryptocurrencies have been embraced by quite alot of Palestinians for transactions. Palestinians can now spend their local currencies when their cryptos are converted by Brokers. It's truly amazing how cryptocurrencies came to their rescue because I can't begin to wonder how life would've been for them not having access to any currency or having to pay so much fees to banks and middlemen just to carry out transactions.
And for Kabul (Afghanistan), their local currency has been crashing really hard even before their government got overthrown by the Talibans. The country has been in crisis for so long but this time, cryptocurrencies have come into the scene to provide aid in forms of medicine and food to Afghans. Like Palestinians, quite alot of educated Afghans have also been paying quite alof of attention to cryptos for a better life.
It's quite sad that many countries are going through some really though times but it's awesome watching how cryptocurrencies make life much better for the people in these locations even in times like this. This had brought more attention to the crypto industry as a whole and is contributing to the growing mass adoption of cryptos around the world.
