I was having a conversation with new friend at the restaurant yesterday and she asked what I did for a living and I plainly to her about the more obvious thing I do these days with is being an NFT artist, blogger and swimmer. It was quite tough what to answer when asked this question a couple months ago because I'm quite versatile and earn form quite alot of skills coupled with what I studied in the university, so these days, I just stick with art and Blogging when introducing myself because they're kinda fun to talk about.

She asked what was NFT and where I blogged, and then I felt it was a great time to introduce her to crypto. But here's the thing, to not mention first that that it was a way to get rich quick or whatsoever. So from my experience onboarding people to cryptos, I discussed with her about the 2 important things that are most important when onboarding and they are definitely what every newbie wants to hear.

The Blockchain Tech and The Problems It Solves: When I mention blockchain to her, I realised she totally had no idea of what it was about and asked if I was one of those people who created/ designed ponzi scheme platforms. Well, hearing that isn't strange to me as that's the popular opinion of anyone involved with cryptos and blockchain here, that they're probably scammers.

The blockchain is is the most important aspect of crypto in my opinion and I told her about how it helps in maximising the visibility and authenticaticity of my art. Everything about my art is transparent from its owners to its, prices, creation date, former owners etc. This transparency that the blockchain brings was something we truly didn't have 12 years ago and that solves quite alot of problems we currently face in the world.

I also talked to her about how the blockchain is decentralised and can't be controlled by any government ans how it hurts most governments that they can't do anything about the situation.

The Money: Well, What is a crypto onboarding talk without the talk of money? This was where I focused on how she could earn just by sharing her thoughts, opinions and experiences on several matters on the Leofinance and the Hive Blockchain. I told her about how even comments ans engagement could fetch money in a way that's absent for the conventional social media platforms that we know. I told her about how much I've seen people earn via their blogs and sales of NFTs that anyone could also do when they put in the work which got he really excited. We also talked about how money could be sent to any part of the world in a jiffy without any third party and she also found that intriguing.

Well, the money aspect closed the deal of onboarding her and we were able to create an account for her and her sibling. Not quite sure if she'd start posting yet because she has quite alot to learn but she has my contact and lives nearby so I can always put her through anything that seems confusing.
