Why Sam Bankman-Fried Of FTX Should Be Tried.
Today, I was reading the story of Bernard Lawrence Madoff, the famous American fraudster who ran the largest Ponzi Scheme in history, how he defrauded individuals and corporations and how he finally got a life sentence for his atrocities. His story is reallynno different from that of Sam Bankman-Fried of FTX and I think Sam should be tried for his actions and the great loss he has caused so many people out here who trusted his platform with their funds.
You see, this isn't about Sam already having a good record in the past. I do agree he was of great influence to the crypto community and has been of of the core promoters of crypto around the world, but he fucked it all up and this is the same path many greedy businessmen in history ruined the lives of so many, just that in his case, he is way younger and the funds here involved here are digital.
The cryptos space already has loads of individuals getting away with really bad behaviours; behaviours that have caused people their life savings and I think perhaps this is because most countries have no strict laws on cryptocurrencies yet and as the saying goes that "There's no crime in a lawless place", alot of people tend to use cryptos as a safe haven for their crimes because they can easily get away with it.
Even if he won't get a heavy sentence, I believe Sam Bankman-Fried should be tried. This would help shape the crypto space by making others no follow his path of greed and making those outside the crypto space know that the crypto space could indeed be a safe space and criminals aren't allowed to get away with crimes here. Sam is undoubtedly a brilliant person and a gem else he wouldn't be multibillionaire at 30, but for the betterment ofnthe crypto space, justice needs to be served.
