This morning while checking through my feeds I came across a post by @hivebuzzHive Power Up Day - October 1st 2022. It’s a new month already and a day that coincides with Independence Day in my country Nigeria. After almost a year (precisely 10 months) on Hive, I was finally able to actualize my first Power Up. This was preceded by many procrastinations and waiting for one right time that I finally realized was never going to come. Or it is better to put that I did not put it to heart to power up. And like they say, The future is now.

Sometime last month, after looking at the progress I have had in the past times, I felt it is time to build my account in terms of quantity, especially in terms of Hive Power. So, I had to set rewards for some of my posts to 100% power up unlike how it has been 50% HP/50% HBD ever since I came on board.

Back to my Power Up, earlier today my Hive Power was on the 411 mark today and I had about 38 Hive on my wallet. Since this is my first, I decided to power up all. Now bringing the new HP to 448.

Besides powering up, delegation - I delegated 100 HP to @indiaunited, at least to get started with some passive earning from that too. Over the months, I have written about or included how to earn passive income on Hive a number of times in some posts and cited delegations as one of them. It is time to do some actions and less talking. It is a month since I made that delegation and it has added some figures which I believe will grow more with time. You know, slow and steady!

My Hive goal, in terms of Hive Power, is to increase it to a sum of 800HP before this year runs out. My projections in other to achieve that, apart from publishing more quality posts, is to have most of the rewards on them to be powered up 100%. The reason for the ‘most’ is due to the fact that HBD often caters to some of my daily needs but that has reduced lately. Likewise, the HBD 20% APR rate is not something that can be ignored easily. Presently, that rate gives me about 2HBD per month which is integrated back into the HBD savings system.

In other news …

Recently, I have been exploring Hive through the @ecency frontend and I must say it has been quite interesting. It has an added attractive advantage of usage from the Ecency points provided for different activities done through it. The points can then be used to boost quality authors’ posts. In the same vein, I see that #leothreads has undergone lots of changes, you should watch out!

Slow but steady, it is. My little plans here, of course, look little but I believe with time they are definitely going to show forth their fruits.
