Crypthursdays: Blood and tequila!
Another week of red
Blood was on the streets again this week as most of the crypto market continued to meltdown. At times it looked like we had signs of recovery but the didn't last long.
A time of opportunities
One thing that is common during bloodbaths like these is that activity seems to drop as much as the prices. A lot of people are cashing out so there is plenty of cheap crypto out there for those with strong hands and minds.
A lot of wealth is being transferred. At what end of the chain are you right now?
Cuban and McAfee
These billionaires made the news on the last few weeks for very different reasons.
Cuban was scammed in a DeFi rug pull and immediately started crying for regulations. You would think a shark would know better, right?
That's one of the reasons I'm sticking to CubFinance. I don't have the time or the energy to hop from platform to platform trying to score some high gains early on and getting out before a possible rug-pull. Nothing wrong with those who enjoy that life, but it's just not for me!
John McAfee was found dead in his cell in Barcelona after a reported suicide. That was hours after a Spanish court agreed to extradite him to the US to face tax evasion charges.
I will say nothing more about him because I think enough has been said already so I just wish he finds his peace wherever he is now. I'll drink my Friday Cocktail to his memory.
Vote for Hive as best blockchain technology
If you are reading this chances are you are among the group of people who still has confidence in Hive so you might want to support the blockchain by voting Hive as the best blockchain technology 2021 at the Crypto Awards website
I don't really know how relevant this award is, but it can't hurt I guess.
Pick of the week
In his great article, @acesontop talks about the concept of SWAN and presents a very insightful view on the current state of the markets and how he deals with it all. Make sure to check it out:
Cocktail Friday
While I was choosing which cocktail to mix tomorrow, I decided to see if I could find what was John McAfee's favorite cocktail. It turns out that he has his own signature cocktail, called the McAfee 2020! I considered picking it but it uses a lot of ingredients that I wouldn't be able to gather for tomorrow and also, to be honest, it doesn't look too good!
So, instead, I decided to go with the Batanga!
This is a very easy one and all you need is:
- 1 1/2 ounces tequila
- 3 ounces Coca-Cola
- half a lime
All you have to do is pour the tequila into a tall glass with ice, squeeze the lemon over it, add the Coca-Cola to top it off, and give it a gentle stir.
Bonus points: If you want to go one step further, you can moisten the outer rim of the glass with the lime wedge and coat lightly with salt before you start.
That's it for now people! I hope to see you tomorrow on our daily @leomarkettalk post for some cocktails and comments!
