Basic Understanding of Hive.

Front End.

This is were all people meet the chain. Front ends are the connection between you and the chain. It does not matter if it is blogging a game or just access to a wallet used for whatever reason. Anything app or web site offering access to the Blockchain is essentially a front end. Some will be more specified than others in the content.

By making a purchase, you will have accessed the blockchain and used it. A simple wallet transaction through an application. You used a front end.

Code.

Code goes through testing before it is put onto the chain. Standard protocol I would think. The writing of code can be done by any one capable. It does not mean it will get on the chain. But there is no restrictions on who can write a code to run on the blockchain.

Development of more code is actually liked. In some cases it is even funded.

The code allows us to do the various things we do on the chain, Interacting with each other through posts, purchases, comments, playing games, all work on interactions with the chain through the framework of the code.

Witness.

A witness can be viewed a bit like a Notary. They verify who you are and the action you want to perform on the blockchain. They then also confirm the action.

The witness also test any new code that might get used on the blockchain.

A witness is chosen by the accumulation of vesting shares. The more Hive Power you have the stronger your say on who is in a top witness position.

The witnesses are a key part to the decentralisation of the chain. (Partially working)

Ledger.

The ledger, This is self explanatory I think, It is going to keep accurate records of the actions that were taken on the chain.

These actions can then be viewed by anyone. They remain on a permanent record that cannot be altered without the consent of the top witness. 17 in all out of 21.

Software to search through the chain have also been developed with filters that can reduce the results from a search. Making it easier to find the content you search.

The Member.

This would be you, all of the things above work to benefit you in one way or another. They make your experience here on the Hive blockchain possible. With one part of the above missing, it all falls apart. The same goes for you now too, that you are here. Each person that makes use of the chain in no matter what way, is doing something for the chain. You are the small detail that matters and should not be overlooked.

A member can be someone who write 10 posts a day or someone who uses their wallet once a month. It does not matter, what does matter is how many are doing it and why. Probably more so on the why side.

Giving out more reasons of why to, is something that should be looked at more closely. If we know why people will use the chain. Then we only need to create what gives that why opportunity. We can create a 1,000 reasons on how to use and none of them fit anyone, it brings no one. Or, we can look to why wold people use Hive and its tokens. If we know why, we only need to build one why.

Finance

Hive has great potential to be the first token to enter the world of FIAT daily transactions. The blockchain can grab this opportunity and see the development of a currency being used from the blockchain.

The biggest obstacle to this happening. The witness, the governance, the code?

Well, it can't be the code. This can be modified.

The witness and the governance are both the same people and they write the code. lol

The only thing I wonder about this. Why do those who say they have the interest of the blockchain is what they stand for. The same people have no ambition to create a currency. What is the point of Crypto if it does not remove the power from financial institutions?

End Result.

Looking at the things above. I notice something. The commonality. In all of them except the last. The same people are there. The coder, The witness, The front end developer, they are all the same people.

Then there is you and the ledger to join them both.

The decentralised Hive Blockchain run by elected witness does not seem to be very decentralised after all. Not to worry about that right now, Time is needed to change that.

The basic structure (my opinion) seems to be there. However there does not seem to be any ideology behind it. On the surface of things, Appearance is that Hive is just there to benefit those who make the decisions. The same thing which is not wanted in the society we live today. That same thing is what is developing on the Hive blockchain.

There seems to be no common ground on what Hive can become, it more and more seems Hive is about the individual not the community the few shout about.
