The Action Plan To Tokenize Our Hive Power
The time has now come to put into action our plan to tokenize the Hive Power on our account, which we first talked about here, This Is Awesome - The Plan Ahead.
After asking a few questions and also had a consultation with @achim03 who is running the CTPSB project, the best way forward for us is to not use a Market Maker bot, which we talked about before.
To start with it is very expensive, and secondly we will most likely just need to adjust things quite slowly after the initial surge for the tokens, like adjusting the buy and sell orders once every second day or so.
That means that the only thing we need to buy is the token itself, and unless someone snatches it before we have the funding in place then the name of the token will be AWESOME.
To buy a token on Hive-engine costs 100 BEE, and to get that we will use our Hive and HBD earnings, plus our Hive Power power down over the coming 3 weeks to get those funds in place.
We currently have 4 weeks left on the power down period that is running right now, including the power down payout that happens tommorrow.
And tommorrow we will do the payouts to delegators as usual, including the regular Hive payout, but the week after that we will no longer do a payout in Hive, only in CTP and ALIVE tokens.
Once we have the new token in place we will start with airdropping it to our delegators, and it will be based on the average weekly delegations that they have for the 3 weeks which our funding takes place, and the number of tokens will be equal to our Hive Power at the moment of the airdrop.
After that we will start selling the token on the market, and all Hive that we get from that will be powered up to Hive Power, and as our Hive Power grows the sales price will be adjusted upwards so that all tokens that have been sold also equals the whole value of our Hive Power, including what Hive we need to buy back tokens on the market.
The token will be owned by @thisisawesome, but the buy and sell orders to emit the token will be placed on @awesomecuration, this is to not mix things up on Hive-engine.
Our Hive Power will then grow from new token sales, from curation rewards and from Hive Power payouts of author rewards, and as we have talked about before this strategy will provide quite a bit of leverage for growth.
So this is the action plan to tokenize our Hive Power, and we will also mention all current delegators so that they can decide if they want in on this or not.
