I'm a numbers girl

I've always liked working with numbers, in the past, I enjoyed going through my site analytics so much that I felt a bit weird, to be honest. After a while numbers started to annoy me as I had debts and then all of the sudden, it's not that fun looking at them anymore. I've discovered what I like so much about numbers: being creative with them and seeing things grow. Not only the amounts of a savings vault for example, or a stake, but I also enjoy moving stuff around that unlock other possibilities to grow a stake or earn interest etc.

Hitting goals is another one that I truly enjoy. I love cutting the goals into smaller pieces and then trying to move stuff around so that I hit every single one of them. But thinking about a plan on how to make sure everything is covered in the first month, or deciding what's a priority and what comes second are things that I enjoy doing.

Hive goals go hand in hand with the usage of Hivestats

To hit goals, we need a place to keep track of our status and evaluate progress from time to time. The more information we can study to evaluate how we're doing, the better this is. It will be easier if we have a complete package of data to access. I think @leofinance is doing a great job at offering something like that with Hivestats.

Let's have a look at my experiences now that V3 has been released, shall we?

Landing on Hivestats

When you go to www.hivestats.io, you can just add the /@yourusername to find your personal page. You can do this for any other Hive user btw, in case you are feeling curious about how others are doing. It's all open to the public and there for everyone to read.

Here's my current Hivestats page:

Featured Posts on Leofinance

The first thing that I notice is the added Featured Posts on Leofinance on the top of the page. I love this feature and have found myself clicking on the links there several times. It's an easy way to find a few posts to read when you don't have much time to browse through the personal feed on Leofinance.

Rewards of the past week

This part of the page looks great, you can track your curation HP rewards, author HP rewards and if applicable, Witness HP rewards plus of course, HIVE & HBD and the total USD value of these rewards each day.

As you may have noticed, my tab only shows today's rewards so far:

This is filled with 0's every time I open it. At first, I thought this was due to the release of V3, and maybe the data needed to start from scratch after release. But now we're some days further, things haven't changed, unfortunately. I've already cleared my cache and browser cookies in case you were wondering.

I guess it's a bug? I hope my page will soon show more than mostly zeros. It's not that I haven't earned anything in the past week so hopefully, this can be looked at by the team.

Voting power info

Another part that's quite simple but so convenient: the Voting power section. It's very clear how much voting power I have left, how much time it needs to be reloaded to 100% and, not unimportant, how much weight my vote has.

All Leo-related websites linked

I think this is very smart, to link all the websites that are related to Leofinance above the page. People don't have to look far for those links, they are easy to find and those that do not know them, will most likely click on them at some point and discover more of what Leofinance has to offer.

Hive Stats

In the middle of the Hivestats page, you can find your Hive stats. Let's have closer look at the different tabs that you find looking at the middle part of the Hivestats page.

Stats

When we click on the stats tab we get some basic information about our profile:

Voting power and value, when our HP is full again, resource credit info, reputation, followers and post information. If we want to know a bit more, we have to click on the other tabs.

Analytics

Next, we have the analytics page which is right up my sleeve, I enjoy examing stats and discovering how to do better. Unfortunately, if you check out my stats screenshot below, you will see that here there seems to be some sort of bug as well. I have a flat line in the left table and the right one shows stats of today only. I know for a fact that it can't be correct as I've been receiving rewards every day. Hopefully, the team can check out what's causing this issue so that I can soon enjoy checking out my numbers again.

When the stats are accurate, you can check out both the analytics from the past 7 as well as the past 30 days. Just select the tab you want to check on the left and the data will be loaded.

I love the extra box with the estimated HBD interest! Although I've emptied my HBD savings some days ago to make sure I would reach my Hive goal before the end of the year, I'm very excited to see this number grow in the next year as I have set myself a goal of 2500 HBD savings by the end of the year. It's very convenient that I can check out the estimated interest of my savings on Hivestats. Great job!

Wallet

Here we can see the basic account info on the left, where you can see all your balances in the account including the estimated account value in USD.

On the right, we can see the Hive, HBD, LEO & CUB price and the difference in price. The bottom of the list also shows the CUB APY and bLEO-BNB farm APY, which is nice if you have some funds in there.

Rewards Received

I guess this part is very clear, a summary of the earnings from the past 7 days as well as the past 30 days:

Pending Author rewards

The pending author rewards show all the comments and posts that are published and show the post reward.

If you wish to see only comments and posts that have received votes on it, just tick the box next to "Hide Dust Payout".

Pending Curation rewards

This tab has some fun data in there, which can help you understand which votes are very efficient regarding curation rewards. I personally have to spend time digging into this and research this data a bit to change my voting behaviour. I've done this before by following some examples of my own received votes that had a very high-efficiency percentage, and I saw my curation go up a lot back then. After a while, I changed to old habits and now I have to work on this again. Hivestats will be of great help here!

You can see when the payout is due, after how many minutes the vote was cast, the weight of the vote, efficiency and reward in HP.

When you click on one of the yellow icons on the right, you can see the details of the voting weight of that particular comment/post. Most of the high-efficiency votes in my list were that high thanks to the @dustbunny vote. Thanks! That means there's some voting behaviour to think about on my behalf.

Hive Engine Stats

If you like stats as much as I do, you're probably just as curious about your Hive Engine stats as you are about your Hive stats. You're in luck because you can find these at the bottom of the Hivestats page. Let's check out the different tabs you can find there.

Wallet

First, you can find all your Hive Engine tokens here, the amount of the tokens, how much staked (and delegated), if applicable, pending un-delegations or un-stakes and of course, the USD value of the tokens in your wallet.

Rewards

My screenshot of the rewards tab shows only the all-time data:

But even so, it's all very easy to understand what data you can find here. I do hope that I will be able to find all my data here soon though. It seems that my data isn't loading very well, or is incomplete, I don't know, hopefully, @khaleelkazi will bring me some answers and even better, the solution, lol.

Operations

This last tab I want to discuss was the weirdest experience for me as I was expecting to find my operations on Hive Engine here, but what I found was this:

No operations, only a few days where this transfer of 0.01 SIM to @dcitygame was done. I don't own any SIM, and on my Hive Engine page, I can't find anything connected to these transfers. I truly have no clue how this data gets here on my page. I assume that it's all just a bit laggy and once bugs are removed, things will work smoother than ever before. I believe that will be the case, so this is not going to keep me away from Hivestats!

Features I'd like to see implemented in V4

Of course, there is always some room for improvement, therefore I'm taking this opportunity to mention the things I'd like to see added to V4.

More details in the voting power section:

I know to measure the voting weight, the thing that matters is the effective power, but I would still like to see the total voting power and delegations in this section. Maybe it can be added where I left the green box in the screenshot above, or if it looks more appealing in another way, that's fine too. I just would like to be able to see this info at first glance.

Delegations in and out can are hidden until clicked on, but the total voting power - & + delegations at first glance would make me very happy if they can be included in V4.

Dark Theme

I haven't seen the option to use a dark theme while using Hivestats, while I always use this option for everything I do online. This is not only because of the aesthetics but simply because my eyes have trouble staying focussed while looking at light themes and it even starts to hurt in a short amount of time, meaning that I simply can't keep working using light themes. My eyes lose focus and feel very tired quickly when I can't switch to darker themes. In case I missed this option, I will be very pleased to read a comment that points out this option. Otherwise, please implement this in V4, I bet I'm not the only one that kind of needs it to stay focussed for longer periods of time.

More colour in the featured posts section

It seems as if the blocks where the featured posts are being displayed are greyed out or made a bit darker so that the text including the link to the article is better visible. I may be wrong, but I haven't seen much more colour up there once, so I assume that this is done on purpose. I get it, it matches the page well but I think it also looks a bit boring and less appealing to actually read the text or click.

Especially if you would add a dark them to Hivestats.io, this would not work well. More colour is needed and maybe this can be solved by adding a coloured edge around the boxes so that the text is still visible. Something like this:

This way it will be visible on both light and dark themes and the links are still easy to read.

Conclusion

Even though my personal page seems to display some stuff that isn't correct, or isn't loading any data in some tabs, I think V3 is a great tool and once the bugs are removed, I will be a very happy daily user of the site. I also love how fast everything responds as that's something that could keep me away, a slow response time.

Great job @leofinance @khaleelkazi, can't wait for Hivestats V4's release!
