Good day Hiveians!

Join me in analyzing the crypto markets!

In the last several days we finally had some discussion about KOIN and Hive

I have often advocated for this since I have long knew about the potential for both projects. After getting it somewhat wrong in this first post @edicted had a second look at Koinos in a post here. There is a lot of good info there (especially also in the comment section). And then there is also a reply from @justinw who made an excellent post comparing both projects. You can read about it here.

For me the tldr; is that both projects offer much value in the crptospace. It's not an either or question, but about 2 different projects tackling problems from a slightly to radically different angle. Both projects are also light years ahead of other chains like Ethereum when it comes to the fee-less nature or the simplicity of interacting with the chain (e.g. having readable account names etc.).

But is it too late to get into KOIN?

Koinos is a fantastic project to get into since it offers tremendous potential. However, it should also be noted that there are almost no dapps on the chain yet. A DEX, an NFT marketplace or also an account protocol (KAP) is going to be released soon, but so far there are only some burn pools as well as a native wallet. In other words, Koinos is just getting started!

Currently Koin is trading at ardoun 40-50 cents, but with very low volume. Mid-sized market orders swing the price heavily, but when you look at the order book you will see that there are not many wanting to sell under $1. So I think the current price is a great entry point, and definitely not too late!

The macro picture shows something very interesting and imminent. A sideways moving wedge that is now coming to an end. This by itself is already very interesting since these wedges almost never run out to the very end. I am expecting a big movement once the market decides which way to go.

On the daily chart we can see a zoomed in picture of the last part. The red lines are the continuation of the macro trend lines from the bigger picture.

If price heads south, this would be quite unfortunate since this macro support would be invalidated. If this should occur, I will address the possible ramifications. But for now I want to focus on a breakout to the top.

By using a fib retracement we can estimate that a next push could go to about $1-$1.3. THis is based on the first two subwaves. The inclination of the resistance trend line is pretty steep, so we will have to see if this works out. Also, the first data point is not very strong, since it is made on the first 2 days of trading.

But if a breakout to the top does occur, I would expect it to be a big one and also a sustained one since it is a breakout from the macro resistance going back to November 2021.

If you are planning on getting into Koin (which is traded on MEXC), the current price range should be a good entry point. But you could also gamble a bit and hope for price breaking the macro support.

As a general reminder: Please keep in mind that none of this is official investment advice! Crypto trading entails a great deal of risk; never spend money that you can't afford to lose!
