HiveStats is a great tool that is in constant development, and in this post, I'll talk about how it can help you keep up with your new year resolutions

First and foremost, Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you had a great time with people you love. I'm sure 2022 will be an excellent year for crypto, Hive and all people involved in it.

Speaking of 2022, today I want to talk a little about yet another great project by the LeoFinance team and wh I believe the most recent upgrades came in a perfect time.

New Year Resolutions and goals

Around this time of the year, people worldwide take time to reflect on what they accomplished during the last 365 days of their lives and start making resolutions and setting goals for the new year that's beginning.

The thing about goals is that if you don't have a good way to quantify your results and track your progress, you can't tell if you're on track or not. In fact, that's the reason why most people abandon their resolutions a couple of months into the year.

I don't know what your goals for 2022 are, but if you're reading this, there is a good chance that at least one of your goals is related to Hive, and if that's the case, I have good news: HiveStats is an excellent tool for you!

Keeping track of your Hive progress with HiveStats

HiveStats is a data aggregator that organizes various kinds of Hive data in a way that's easy to use and generates insights to improve your performance on the blockchain.

Sure, that data is available elsewhere, and anyone can access it, but not everyone has the skills or the time to do that, so HiveStats adds a lot of value to all Hive users committed to making the best of their time on this blockchain.

Getting started

It could not be easier to start using HiveStats. All you have to do is go to https://hivestats.io/, and you'll see the following screen:

From there, all you have to do is type in the username of the account you want to analyze, and you're in!

Some of my favourite features

Once you're in, you'll see right away there is a section showing feature posts on LeoFinance. That's actually a new feature, and while it's a simple one, it can be handy for those who plan to spend a decent amount of time on HiveStats.

Just below that is the main section, and it's where things start to get interesting!

To the left, you will see a doughnut chart that shows your current voting power percentage, how many hours it will take for it to go back to 100%, and the current value of your upvote in USD.

A remarkable feature here is that if you click somewhere on the voting power circle, it updates the upvote value so you can simulate several scenarios and see how much your upvote would be worth in each of them.

One thing that I think would make this even cooler is if it also updated the number of hours that it would take for your voting power to go back to 100% from the scenario you're simulating because right now, it doesn't do that.

Next to the voting power chart is what I believe to be one of the best features of HiveStats: a rewards table that breaks down rewards data by Curation HP, Author HP, Witness HP, Hive, HBD and Total USD. It shows you the data daily for the last seven days.

I believe this chart will be very useful to pretty much everyone as I believe most people have at least one goal that is related to their Hive rewards.

This session also shows a piece of very useful information, which is your curation APR! Because curation is such an essential thing on Hive, I believe everyone should be looking at this number regularly. I know I will be doing that!

Moving on, there is another exciting session that contains some relevant data about your Hive account, some information about your Wallet, some more detailed information on your Rewards and, the best part, an Analytics dashboard where you can look at how your Hive Power has changed in the last seven days and the last 30 days and the same goes for your daily rewards. I believe this will be a great tool to gain some quick insights and check if your progress is compatible with the goals you set for yourself!

And last but not least, there is a final session for Hive-Engine, where you can see all HE tokens that you have in your Wallet, check your Hive and Leo Rewards and see a history of your operations.

Final thoughts

HiveStats is an excellent tool for people looking to check their progress on Hive and improve their performance on the blockchain. You don't need any technical skills to use the tool because it's very intuitive and user-friendly, so there's no excuse not to!

The LeoFinance tool is constantly working to improve HiveStats, and they already mentioned some features that will come in the next phase of HiveStats V3, such as a "Hive Opportunities" page which will show more opportunities for staking LEO along with staking HBD (Savings at 12% APY) and staking HIVE, etc. (Source)

And that's it for now! I'll be writing about HiveStats again whenever I find valuable insights from the available data. I suggest everyone start using it right away!
