The second edition of the Leo Power Up day is upon us, and everyone should participate in this event

Since I decided to make LEO my top priority for 2022, I've been powering up every single token I get and even buying some more of the market to increase my stake even more. I'm still far from my yearly goal and even farther from becoming a LEO whale, but every time I power up, I'm one step closer to my goal, so I'll keep on staking that LEO Indefinitely.

That is why I was so glad when the LeoFinance team announced Leo Power Up Day. Now I'm not only getting closer to my goal of becoming a LEO whale one day, but I can also win some very nice prizes along the way!

What is Leo Power Up Day?

If you have been on Hive for some time, you might have heard of Hive Power Up Day, a monthly event where people are encouraged to Power Up at least 10 HIVE to show their commitment and appreciation to the blockchain.

Leo Power Up Day is much newer, but it is essentially the same thing: it's a day in the month where all Lions are encouraged to show their love and devotion to our beloved community and stake some LEO. That is very important for the growth of the Leo ecosystem, but it's also great for the Lions themselves, as their influence on the community increase with their stake, as do their curation rewards.

How to participate in Leo Power Up Day?

It's very easy! All you have to do is follow a few simple rules, and you are in!

Here are the details:

  • Your total Leo Power (on the 15th) must be more than 200 and less than 20k

  • You must power up at least 200 Leo on July 15.

  • You must not have powered down Leo since June 15.

  • Make a post about Leo Power Up Day, why are you powering up, why is it good for the platform, and talk about anything else you want to in the post! Remember to use the tag #lpud. Then Tweet about this linking to your post using the tags #hive #leofinance, #cryptocurrency and #lpud.

What are the benefits of participating in Leo Power Up Day?

This is where things get good because there are actually a LOT of benefits for participants.

Other than the immediate benefits of increasing your Leo Power, your influence in the community and your curation rewards, all participants will participate in a drawing/raffle where three Leo users will win a 20k Leo delegation for three weeks.

Also, LeoFinance official curators will be looking for good posts with the #lpud tag, so there is a chance for you to get some nice upvotes! If you make a good post, you can even get a visit from @leo.voter, which is always a good surprise.

But wait! There is more!

We all know that the LeoFinance community is one of the most dedicated to the blockchain, so it's not surprising that some of the most distinct Lions have chipped in to make the prize pool even greater.

Pretty good, right? But what if I tell you that is not all?

If you are having second thoughts about participating because you have the worst luck in the world and can never win anything, I have some good news for you!

If you participate in the Leo Power Up Day initiative for three consecutive months and you don't win any prize, then you qualify for the Bad Luck Prize by @onealfa, where he will delegate 60,000 LEO tokens for three weeks to one lucky winner!

And in the worst-case scenario where you don't win even the Bad Luck Prize, you still have increased your stake in one of the most prominent tokens on the Hive blockchain!
