In the pursuit of life's goals, dreams and ambitions, some of the important traits a person should have are diligence, persistence, zeal and doggedness. There are many factors that try to pull you down, obstruct you, slow you down, or even bring you to a total halt, putting an end to all your efforts, dreams and aspirations. In such situations, you must set your gaze on the prize, and be determined that nothing will be big enough to stop you.

No matter how big your aspirations are, ensure that you are taking progressive steps towards its actualization. No matter how insignificant your steps seem to be today, being diligent at it will tell later in the future. You cannot afford to be stagnant, because stagnant water stinks. When you stay stagnant and complacent, other people will pass by and overtake you.

Slow and steady they say, wins the race. Your start may be slow, you may not be fully equipped to launch your dream in full capacity, but the little way you can, implement something, and give it your best shot. If you give excuses to quit now, then another you will soon see another person implementing your dreams and excelling in them.

The Holy bible says...

...He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. - Ecclesiastes 11:4

Life is more like a marathon, not a sprint. It therefore does not matter how you start, what matters is how far you can go. There are many that start very fast, but soon lose their strength, or their balance. No matter how fast your progress is, keep your gaze on the finish line, and keep moving.

Your little efforts today will graduate into greater results later. Your diligence today might attract an audience of those who love you and believe in your dreams and are ready to invest in it. Take a step today, then take another, and...

...do not stop!
