It has been 3 days since I created my first community on HIVE, be sure to check it out and subscribe if you're in the market for a job.

When I told my sister about my plans with HIVE and how I intended to copy/paste blockchain job adverts into a feed in order to bring these work opportunities to people who were more qualified to fill the position, my sister told me that she thought I probably had to ask someone for permission.

Ask for permission? Ask who? This is blockchain! That's what I told her. But I knew all too well the day would come when someone would have an objection to my model...

Today was that day, Maybe the dude didn't like me advertising my community by commenting on his post even though in my opinion the comment was relevant. Maybe he was bitter because he didn't think to use HIVE to recruit like this himself, or maybe he was just having a bad day and didn't take the time to actually research what I'm doing.

Whatever the case, objections are a part of life. In blockchain, however, when often millions in profit are on the line, objections can seem like a personal attack and that's generally not the case.

If I were to give each person on earth a 1 million dollar stimulus bonus, there would still be people who'd hate me and who'd say that what I'm doing is wrong. The first key to overcoming objections, whether in blockchain or any other aspect of life, is to accept that you can't please everyone.

The best advice that I have for someone who is concerned about their career in blockchain in relation to its protection, is to be as transparent as possible about everything you do.

Be sure to use a blockchain, it doesn't have to be HIVE but it needs to be a blockchain, to document your doings. Because when the haters come, and they will come, history will speak for itself. No one shoots for the rotten apple off the tree, they shoot for the tastiest looking one, the best one.
