As always, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to this month's Hive Power Up Day, either through powering up, posting, offering prizes, or spreading the word. As I said on @hivebuzz's feedback post...

No foolin', this is the second time in the past few months that Hive Power Up Day happened during an HBD surge (but this one was much closer to the moon!), and I get the feeling the same thing is happening this time around - lots of excitement on Twitter and Hive, but lower numbers of participation overall. However, that doesn't change how awesomesauce the day was - seeing everyone chatting on social media about how excited they are to stake more Hive to me means so much more than whatever the total ends up being.

Thanks to everyone who participated in whatever way (big, small, or in between) to make this day a look forward to every month! And special thanks to @HiveBuzz for always BEEing such an amazing buzz-maker for Power Up Day, and our blockchain home in general!

   

So, turns out I'm happy to say I was off the mark a bit as far as participation goes! 😊

We had 76 qualifying entries for the prize pool (a bump up compared to 66 in March) with 131 total entries (which is weirdly the exact same number as last month) and 146 posts with either the #hivepud or #hpud tags on the first (up a smidge from last month's 142).

As for the overall number, the power ups ranged from 0.061 to 10,000 Hive Power, for a grand total of...  

26,667.630 Hive Powered Up!

  By comparison, the total in March was 40,236.090. While yes, it's a much lower amount, the overall participation was up a bit, so I still think that number is...

 

 

And I know I say it every month, but I'm so appreciative that I have to keep saying it, thank you to @jeanlucsr for bringing the idea to the @hivebuzz team, who then ran with it and made the Hive Power Up Day Badges such a buzz-inducing part of power up day! Every time I think they've outdone themselves, they turn around and do something even more amazing - like, awarding delegations to Power Up Day participants!

Now for the lists!

In keeping with how @streetstyle ran this, here is the UNOFFICIAL winners list for April 1st. If you spot any errors, or your powerup/post was somehow overlooked, please shout out as soon as possible.

On April 5th (late in the day since this post went out later than I wanted, because life got in the way!), I'll post the OFFICIAL written-in-stone list, and at that time the sponsors can award their prizes (the complete list is in the announcement post, and I'll include it again in the Official Winners post tomorrow).

Again as always, special thanks to my numbers guy @abh12345 for sending along the stats, even though he's wicked busy toolin' around Spain in his new-to-him car! He's even added some extra calculations starting last month, which will now save me a ton of time for future power up days. You are truly the numbers man extraordinaire, Asher! 
