Hi Everyone,

A month ago, I decided to purchased a few more cards to grow my collection due to FOMO plus I had some extra DEC in my account where you can see my original post here. If I have known if DEC was going to be crucial part of the DEC airdrop, would I have still used it to purchased the cards, I probably would if I had no other option considering these cards I will own and can use for future games, rent them out or use them for land. The only thing I may have done different is pay the cards with other means of payment which may have not grown as much as DEC has been. Looking back at those purchases, they have actually done very well as I picked the cards I use normally and 1 I think would be a great potential when land is integrated to the game.

Let's start with Goblin Thief. I use this card quiet often as I love the Earth splinter so I thought I would get a few more singles in case I need to level up my current setup. I also love the sneak ability as I find sneak is the game changer for most of my games so I have a soft spot for those monsters with sneak. Of course it doesn't mean they are powerful but at the right moment, they work on their magic and take their opponent down. When I bought it, it was one of the cheapest card in the whole game at just under 7c but now, it is not the cheapest and have gone up to a nice amount. It has surpassed many earth monsters in terms of popularity and pricing which reflects that my thought on this card was correct.

Next would be Shieldbearer. I initially don't like using this card when it was introduced but I see the importance of it when you have a high mana game or when you want to divert all attacks to one place. Many high level players use this card which was reflected on the price before the craze and I still decided to get a few in case I want to level mine up to a more competitive level. It does have a high mana but it is work it for the high life it has PLUS shield. Combined with Daria, an extra attack is pretty attract. The price of each card now is much higher than when I purchased it but I still think it is pretty under priced and should be worth more.

Lastly, I never used Gloridax Magus but I thought I would buy a few with my remain DEC as it may be useful when land comes out. With a 1 magic attack at 6 mana, it is not a card I would chose if I had other choices in my team. But I think it would be useful later as a crafting card and at the time of purchase, it was one of the cheapest legendary dragon monster so I bought a small handful of them. After a month later, I am glad I did because demand definately been higher for this card with the blast ability and new players can use this to get that extra edge over their opponent. Card demands on Splinterlands has gone up the roof and I anticipate that prices on existing cards will continue to rise at least till the next set of cards come out in a few months time. If you are a new player, best to rent a few splinters to see what is right for you and then buy what you need. Not only you own these monsters, but you get a share of the daily SPS airdrop by owning them. See you on the battlefield!
