The 31 Sentence Contest Winners: Round 17 (redo)
We had four entries this round:
(1) @jadams2k18 - Psychological Counseling
(2) @free-reign - Silvio
(3) @wakeupkitty - Might Be
(4) @felt.buzz - Nine
Before the judging...
I was happy to see a couple of regulars and some new people came to the HIVE. How this experiment will go is still up in the air.
If you are wondering why this round had the redo in (), it is because, with all that was/is happening on steemit, no one entered the round within steemit. With all that was happening on steemit, I can't say I was surprised.
During that very same week, it began to pour down rain unlike what is normally seen here in LA, CA around this time of year. Really, it rained a week straight almost non-stop. For some of you, this might be normal but this is LA we're talking about - and I live outside. Fortunately, some people that have invited me over to play games with during Thanksgiving, called Thanks-gaming, let me stay.
I wasn't planning on staying more than a day or two (again, it usually doesn't rain a week straight) but they offered a brief extension since the room they rent out wasn't going to have anyone staying in it.
And then, covid-19 hit. The roommate stayed where he is at and I was offered a place to stay until the seventh of this month, which is awesome because everything is shut down. What I do when I'm back on the street is a huge question.
About the picture: to me, it brings to mind the other side of being right all the time. How many of us stop to question if we've got something wrong?
It has been said that I often want to be right. I agree with this somewhat.
I am coming to understand this "I want to be right" thing as a sign when I'm pushing too much and want someone to change their mind because "I'M RIGHT," which often leads to an argument that is so stupid and childish when looking back at it.
Perhaps I am wrong and don't have all the information.
Some of this has to do with listening to one's self and being okay with another's thinking.
One of my favorite things that were said to me recently when I was talking to one of the people who has let me stay as we had a disagreement about an opinion on a movie but just let it be and said "To each his own" is, "Wouldn't it be great if we could have disagreements and let it go like we do with movies?"
- A shout out to this weeks resteemers: @felt.buzz, @marcybetancourt, @wakeupkitty, @free-reign, @marblely, @bananafish, @owasco
