New to the platform -- wondering about the strategic difference between posts and blog posts

I've been exploring Hive and LeoFinance for a few weeks now. I think #hive is a great platform with extraordinary growth potential.

I am exceptionally bullish recognizing how the LeoFinance group has created their own front-end with tokenization. I have no doubt this represents a model to be emulated by future affinity groups (and when that happens, explosive growth for the underlying Hive platform).

Up to the present, I have simply been 'reblogging' every post I make, but without really understanding the 'why' behind it. I've just been figuring that more people will have the chance to interact if I do both.

Can folks help me understand if there is a strategic difference between the two. Is there ever a reason why I should NOT automatically reblog a post?

Thanks in advance!
