I'm pretty sure you thougth many times about buying stocks in companies like Facebook, Google, Apple or even Netflix. But just cant buy those assets by your own. This is about to change for a large portion of Bittrex customers, as the US based digital asset exchange has just announced it now supports and offers ‘tokenized stocks’.

A tokenized stock is not a security. In fact, it is a derivative in the form of a token which is tethered or ‘pegged’ to an underlying asset. Rather than being pegged to FIAT, like a stablecoin, these tokens are pegged to a publicly listed stock.

Supported Assets For now, the following companies are the ones you can buy tokenised assets:

Amazon Alibaba Apple Beyond Meat Inc. Bilibili BioNTech Facebook Google Netflix Pfizer SPDR S&P 500 ETF

FEES From what I understand the fees will be the same as the crypto market, so it still way cheaper to buy those assets tha to buy real stocks.

I'm not sure yet if it's worth it. Swing traders or intraday traders may not find it really appealing, but in the long term, that could be intresting for HODLERS. I leave here this youtube video explaining the concept in more details. And you what do you think? Would you invest in a tokenised stock? Let me why in the comment section. Thanks folks.
