I’m not gonna lie I’ve been so distracted of late with so many things both important and unnecessary but I must confess not being active on Hive can really suck and heartbreaking at the same damn time.

Real life issues happen , and you know it is what it is when life hazards come at you . One just has to find a way or multiple ways to weather the storm when the currents won’t stop being high .

That being said , I’m someone who likes to relax , I mean I like to take a chill pill when the stress of how to make ends meet tends to blow my brains off.

How do I relax ? For me the first therapy for me will always be music . Yep! I enjoy listening to music a lot . It tends to maintain the atmosphere for me .

There comes movies after music . Anything visual I can learn from thrills and sparks up my fancy . I got familiar with movies early enough from the video/cassette times. I could even recall my ever first movie I watched was the little rascals .

A week ago, my guy told me to come watch on a movie documentary about a tech mogul whom he had gisted me about several months ago . Could this be a coincidence? Well , who knows ?

I’m sure you must have heard about John McAfee . Even you haven’t you must have come across the antivirus called mcafee on your pc(s) or laptops back then .

The documentary, which began streaming late August 2022, tells the story of computer programmer John McAfee, whose name you may recognize from McAfee anti-virus software. Albeit, as you’ll see from the film,if you’ve watched it too that McAfee’s life after he sold his tech company was far wilder than your average eccentric retired millionaire.

From being wanted for his neighbor murder in Belize to McAfee’s own claims that the Mexican cartel was out to kill him, it’s a plane crash you won’t be able to look away from. It’s also a plane crash that was almost entirely caught on film, thanks to McAfee’s knack and obsession with documenting himself.

Basically, John McAfee was a computer programmer and an eccentric businessman who was once best known for his anti-virus software developed at his company, McAfee Corp.

However, in 2012, McAfee became more famous for being a fugitive on the run from the Belize authorities.

Director Charles Russell draws upon footage shot by Vice reporter Rocco Castoro and cameraman Robert King beginning in 2012, when they joined up with the wealthy antivirus software pioneer (whose company bears his name) while he was on the run from law enforcement in Belize, suspected in the murder of his neighbor, Gregory Faull.

To reinforce how crazy the scenario here is, their dispute had centered on McAfee's dogs barking at Faull's pet parrot.

With ample money, guns and drugs at his disposal McAfee spent the next several years as what he calls as a seasoned "flight risk" .

In between, I wonder how he somehow found time to take a shot at a Libertarian Party candidacy for president of USA . For someone who publicly refused to pay his taxes and insist that he was being targeted by drug cartels, without any evidence it thrills my imagination as to what John was he really up to .

What actually strikes my attention the most about this fiasco of a story is the chilling climax of “Running With the Devil: The Wild World of John McAfee,” a documentary that has become one of the most popular movies on Netflix since its premiere last week. A former girlfriend of the tech magnate is quoted as saying she received a call from him after his death.

So what do really believe ? Is John alive or dead ?? . From the documentary John claims and seems to be one with a lot of classified information that if let out will expose certain corrupt high class individuals.

One just wonders what the truth really is .

In the latter part of the film, the story expands to include Alex Cody Foster, a self-described ghostwriter who hung out with McAfee and recorded extensive interviews with him.

"Maybe he was a murderer, but I just love good stories," Foster says.

McAfee honestly was clearly many things, and yes, a murderer might have been one of them. Do you think so too? . but as presented, it's simply too much of a mess to even qualify as a good story.

The new Netflix documentary, Running with the Devil: The Wild World of John McAfee, needs to be seen to be believed. And even after you see it, you may not believe it.
