In a tweet last night, Elon Musk told his followers that Tesla will no longer be accepting Bitcoin as a payment method. The news comes only a few months after his original tweet in which he announced that Tesla will accept Bitcoin as a payment method. What has happened?

You can see his tweet above. As he clearly states, he isn't satisfied with the heavy energy used to mine Bitcoin, and thus, it is having a bad effect on the earth. At the same time, he clearly states that they will not sell any of their Bitcoin and that cryptocurrencies are a great thing. And once Bitcoin turns more sustainable, they will start accepting it once again.

There were lots of different comments and replies, and for example, Justin Sun and Anthony Pompliano shared their thoughts about the tweet from Elon Musk.

Of course, there will be some discussion, and I do believe that the tweet from Elon Musk is also caused Bitcoin to fall from $54,000 to below $50,000 in less than an hour following the tweet.

Personally, I take this little dump as a good excuse to purchase some more crypto, and then sell with a profit (a short trade).

What about Doge and Tesla?

Now that you cannot purchase Tesla with Bitcoin, maybe they should let you purchase a Tesla with Dogecoin instead? Elon Musk played with the thought a few days ago in a different tweet.

I don't know... but if I had that amount of Dogecoin, and Tesla would accept it, and I would ever want a Tesla, then I guess I would buy it (under those three conditions). But, to be honest, there are lots of currencies way better than Dogecoin, so I have big doubts concerning this tweet. To be honest, I feel like Elon Musk is mostly having fun with the coin and joking with it. If Tesla would ever start to actually accept Dogecoin, I would be greatly surprised, and I would actually say that Elon by doing so, clearly states that he considers Dogecoin to be more than just a "hustle."

What do you think?

Let me hear your thoughts about Elon Musk, Tesla, Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and so on. And if you want to smile and have fun for two minutes, check the following Dogecoin song that has had more than 1,000,000 views of YouTube already.
