the reason the % increase is the falling in price.

If you get 1 Cub per 1000$ and you have 1000 cubs for 1$ in =0,1% day.

if the price now falls to 0,25$ the interest increase to 0,4%.

Now you need 4000 cub for 1000$. And you receive 4 Cubs now. As you can see, it is the same :)
