Simplified Tutorial for First Time Users to Harvest CUB on Binance Smart Chain

Earlier, I had shared how I made my first adventure in DeFi through CubFinance and it wasn't easy to flow through but the stress was worth it as it added to my wealth of knowledge and experience and it builds the confidence to help others do same in the remaining 6 days or perhaps with other DeFi projects that would be coming.

Thus far, I've harvested as much as 1 CUB on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) with my 50 CUB staked. At this point, I can boldly lead others to seamlessly link their MetaMask wallet to their Binance Smart Chain and start mining CUB from staking. Let's go!

In this tutorial, a first time User would learn how he/she should be able to:

  • Download and set-up MetaMask
  • Create a Binance Smart Chain (BSC) Network on MetaMask
  • Add BLEO and BCUB token to BSC
  • Link your MetaMask wallet to CubFinance DeFi Platform
  • Wrap LEO to BLEO
  • Wrap CUB to BCUB
  • Fund BNB to BSC on MetaMask
  • Start farming CUB by Staking

On the whole, this document https://docs.cubdefi.com/ is superb and very detailed. You have to read and I'll make references to some sections. However, I explained in simpler terms as a lay man for any lay man to understand. You'll have a lot of screenshots to view and follow.

1. Start by Setting up your MetaMask Wallet

  • Download Metamask compatible with tour device and browser here. Do well to observe this for security sake. Ensure it'sthe official Metamask URL (https://metamask.io).

  • Click Install & Add Extension

  • Creating a Wallet (Remember to Save Your Key Words).

  • Read this part of the guide.

2. Now that your wallet is set, head to configure the wallet. You may use expanded view if on PC.

3. Add the Binance Chain Network to your Wallet. The wallet comes by default with ETH chain. Follow carefully, the next 5 screenshots.

Add an RPC URL (Recommended: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/) ChainID: 56 (if 56 doesn’t work, try 0x38) Symbol: BNB Block Explorer: https://bscscan.com

4. Add your LEO tokens identified as BLEO and CUB

bLEO COntract Address: 0x73a9fb46e228628f8f9bb9004eca4f4f529d3998

CUB Contract Address: 0x50d809c74e0b8e49e7b4c65bb3109abe3ff4c1c1

5. Connect your Metamask Wallet to https://cubdefi.com/

6. Wrap your LEO to BLEO
  • Copy and paste your Metamask BLEO wallet address here

  • Put the number of LEO you want to Wrap

  • Note that 1 LEO is always taken as transaction cost each time you wrap LEO

  • Fill your Hive username and hit "ok"

7. Wrap your CUB to BEP20 CUB
  • Copy and paste your Metamask CUB wallet address here (will likely be the same as BLEO

  • Put the number of LEO you want to Wrap ( no charges for CUB)

  • Type in your Hive username and hit "OK"

8 Stake your CUB token on https://cubdefi.com/
  • Click the "stake" button in the first panel and a dialogue box pops up.

  • Type in the amount of CUB you need to stake in box or click "max" if you want to stake all.

  • Confirm transaction with MetaMask

  • Note that you would have needed some BNB funded to your MetaMask wallet to pay for transaction charges. Never worry, if you don't have, indicate in the comments section of this post and I'll help you get funded.

  • Boom, you begin to farm CUB instantly. View yout farmed CUB and the amount staked as indicated below.

  • You can also add more to your stake after farming has begun. Do so by clicking the "+" sign and a dialogue box comes up.

  • Fill as appropirate and click "STake"

There you go on your journey to passive wealth generation with CUB mining.
