When would a $1 POB be Possible?
Heeeello friends, it's already getting late but sleep has gone quite from me for several reasons and I think I can gainfully engage the time with sharing thoughts with you concerning my current investment interests. It's about cryptocurrency, about Hive, about Hive's second layer (Hive-engine) and about the ProofOfBrain community and its token - POB.
Just as the name implies, the Proof of Brain community is a tokenized community on Hive where we share brain-minted thoughts - original and creative stuffs that showcase the power of humanity to the reading and socialmedia world. Hive has always been aplace for people. This informs why creativity thrives here as creative power resides within humans , and not robots.
POB has gained some tangible appreciation and acceptance by Hive investors and curators and has become a new home for many content creators on the Hive blockchain. This hints that the token would soon approach it peak days especially with its unique tokenization and limited maximum supply of 21M. I joined the league of POB curators last month and I am excited about the growth we've attained and how much its shaping the future of my Hive investment.
This reminds me of the growth phase of the LeoFinance community after the Hive fork from steem and the new face it gave to content creation on Hive. However, content creators find it easier to share their thoughts on the Proof of Brain community than what was obtainable on LeoFinance last year. Truth be told, talks about finance, money, crypto and related subjects are cheap spoken than written. I personally have found it hard to mentor my invitees to creating LEO earning posts than others due to their perceived difficulty and technicalities required.
We all can understand the value of numbers when it comes to content consumption in the internet. The more the traffic to the website, the greater the exposure to other content consumers as well as improved rankings. Where ads are running on such websites, that means more income for the team. The LeoFinance community had proven that fact that ads revenue could become a great tool for development and token growth.
The POB token has continued to earn increased statistics according to recent reports concerning staked volumed, staked accounts, richlist and more as quoted below.
Last week when I posted the statistics, there were 1237748 POB tokens staked in the #pob power. Out of these 825822 POB power was staked in these 50 accounts.
This week the total POB power locked in the stakes is 1320717 and the total power with top 50 rich accounts increased to 884210.
Which means out of the total power staked, top 50 Rich accounts control 67% of the total power. The staked power of top 50 accounts is maintained at 67%.
The statistics above show that in no time, the POB token would become as scarce as LEO was sometime ion the last quarter of 2020. This would mount some positive pressures on the token price which I predict could hit $1 value soon. At present, we see POB trading at around 0.3 HIVE (equivalent to 17 cents). It wouldn't be out of place to anticipate a $1 POB before 2021 rolls out.
There will be no more POB tokens issued except through PoB rewards. Like Bitcoin mining, rewards decrease by 50% every 4 years. There are no proof of mining or proof of stake rewards. There will be no tokens issued to a founder or a team. There is a 10% beneficiary percentage when posting on proofofbrain.io. Funds from the beneficiary rewards will be used to maintain proofofbrain.io.
