Prelude Hello everybody, it's time again for Share Your Battle. While I had many matches which I fielded Life Sapper which is the featured card for this week, I didn't had one that showcase the goodness of Life Sapper, hence instead, I chose another another card to feature and that is Venari CrystalSmith. I had one amazing match this week and it is Venari CrystalSmith that anchoring it.

Thoughts on Venari CrystalSmith

Mouse-like sorcerer that heals. Just simple as it is. Much like its other Venari counterparts, each has their own speciality. I love how it is an archer which will take in General Sloan's archer attack boost ability.

Without further a do, let's get started with this week's sharing.
Let's look at the Level 1 base stats for Venari CrystalSmith:

ManaAttackHealthSpeedArmourAbility
41 (Range)42NATank Heal

Bronze League - Speed +1 Silver League - Attack +1, Health +1 Gold League - Speed + 1, Dispel Beyond Gold - Attack +1, Health +1

What does Venari CrystalSmith looking on growth? At level 1, already a very viable card with the tank heal, moderate speed and decent health for a 4 mana.

As it levels up, it gains in all the stats of health, speed and attack. When it arrives at level 6, it gains dispel which is something very important in gold leagues where various buffs/effects boost opponent cards to give them advantage. The ability to dispel, gets rid of those buff with a poof.

When it reach max level, for its mana, the damage output, abilities, health and speed is a real decent for a 4 mana.

Alritey, let's see start the battle sharing.

Opponent Lineup

  • Summoner - Scarred Llama Mage

  • Position 1 - Failed Summoner

  • Position 2 - Fungus Fiend

  • Position 3 - Creeping Ooze

  • Position 4 - Mitica Headhunter

  • Position 5 - Flesh Golem

Prediction before pressing rumble You did not see wrong, it's that Llama lineup with Flesh Golem yet again! Odds stacked against me facing such a lineup. But will I overcome the odds?

Let's get ready to rumble Round 1, Failed Summoner and Fungus Fiend were quickly disposed by my backline artillery. 2 more monsters before we face last stand ability.

Round 2, Creeping Ooze also fell victim and Mitica is on its last health. Last stand incoming.

Round 3, Mitica falls and now it's time to face the thick Flesh Golem with last stand.

Round 4, Here it comes, a grown Flesh Golem with crazy healing against my archers. I realized something, a 3 attack Flesh Golem can only deal 2 damage to Chaos Knight and Venari CrystalSmith heals 2 health every round for Chaos Knight. Did a loop just appear?

Round 5 onwards, because of the Chaos Knight and Venari CrystalSmith loop heal, effectively we are in the driver seat and looking at the archers including Venari CrystalSmith itself punishing the Flesh Golem. It was finally taken down and my full team is in tact. Way to go! Victory secured!

After Thoughts Little did I know I manage to put in a combo lineup of Chaos Knight and Venari CrystalSmith. A face-off with Llama Mage usually ends off with me on the losing end.

Tank Heal and a viable tank is instrumental in securing victories for a match. The Shield possessed by Chaos Knight effectively helped to reduce damage dealt to it, boosted by Tank Heal, it can hang in long in battles allowing other damage dealers to do their part.

This match for instance, if we did not have a sufficient damage dealing or ability to sustain the attack from Flesh Golem, we will end up either being torn apart by Flesh Golem or killed by fatigue because of the lack of damage and Flesh Golem keeps healing.

Be it Chaos Knight, Shieldbearer or even Uriel, without a tank heal, it is just a matter of time they get taken out. And this is where Venari CrystalSmith is instrumental.

Did my strategy work in this game? It worked but way better than I expected due to the 2 damage 2 heal combo that Venari CrystalSmith and Chaos Knight looped on each other.

Will I be using Venari CrystalSmith in the future? Yes I will. Venari CrystalSmith is booster by Sloan, so it deals 2 damage at level 1, making it a powerful backline, not forgetting it's tank heal capabilities.

Venari CrystalSmith is a reward card, so it is easily obtainable. Do level it up whenever you have collected sufficient copies of it of buy it off the market. A very good card to own and level up for higher league use. Currently, it is going at $0.03 cents per copy.
