Raptor Token wasn't meant to be for me

Checking out the crypto market, on my day off, I stumbled upon this coin/ token and felt extremely tempted to buy it:

If you have been following me for a while, you will be aware of the fact that my alter ego and the main character of the stories that I have been writing in the last three years or so is a velociraptor - and at times philosoraptor - named Hypersensitivosaurus.

So when I learnt about there being a Raptor token, I had to fight the urge to keep my tiny raptor arms away from it.

Yes, 'away' he said.

I am not such a fool, these days.

I already made the mistake to get invested in DinoSwap ( DINO ) coin, last year, and am not gonna make the same mistake again. DinoSwap was a DeFi project on Polygon/Matic and although it started out promising, like many DeFi projects, over time it evaporated - the value of the token turned into dust. In fact, it went so low that I forgot about it and stopped checking my wallet. Now I didn't lose too much with Dino Swap, but the feeling I had when I just started out with it - of investing a couple of hundred dollars or perhaps thousand or so and making it back multiple times, enough to cover my monthly rent - sure didn't work out haha! I know better now ;>)

Anyhow, crypto is not for the faint hearted, we're still in the Wild West days and if you don't shoot, every now and then, you will never win.

To get back to Raptor token, I merely discovered this one on Coinbase, as one of the tokens that went up in price most in the last 24 hours. Without having to do any further research, I predict that it's either a scam, pump and dump or has an extremely low market cap. Possibly both, Also, I have no idea where I would be able to trade it, at all. I gladly keep my tiny raptor arms away from it. I wouldn't even touch it with a 100 foot pole. Also, buying a coin after it seemingly went up 35 million percent ( how is that even possible haha! ) is probably the worst moment to buy in.

Suffice to say that I was merely looking for an excuse/ reason to get back to posting and my dino me, once again. I feel I am kind of out of it, after having spent 8 days in a row, focused on friends and ( mainly ) family, the reason why I made this trip to The Netherlands.

On a side note, days ago, I printed my last ( one year old ) version of Hypersensitivosaurus and Cold Turkey - more on that book and me getting back to it in my post from two weeks ago Fresh ideas and an illustration for my previous book. I mean to say that I printed it in order to read through it, possibly edit it and if I can get myself to do it and focus and feel good about it, I hopefully manage to turn it into a book that feels worthy to actually print and publish / sell / handout. Can't wait!

I sure need my creativity to stay sane ;>)
