If 2020 was the year of the crypt coins with the Bitcoin at the head, 2021 promises to continue the upward trend, displacing the once unbeatable dollar in the taste of large and small investors in the world. Everything seems to indicate that this year the American currency will continue to lose strength, however it seems too early to place flowers on the grave of the still main world currency.

Even though the dollar's demand index has fallen to 90 points (this has not happened since 2018), this does not represent the biggest fall in its history, when in 2008, in the middle of the mortgage crash and banking crisis, the green currency registered barely 70 points. But in 2021, the great mistrust that the dollar generates among investors, who increasingly prefer to take risks in the Bitcoin, gold and other cryptom currencies rather than betting on the U.S. currency, is notable.

Will it be the end of the dollar as a reserve currency, only time will tell, some experts believe that the decline of the American currency more than a weakness is a strength, since they consider that in the face of total global economic uncertainty resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the most logical step is to invest in the dollar, the most important refuge value in the world. The defenders of the world's main currency maintain that 2021 is the year of the world's economic recovery, therefore the dollar will be the driving force of the global economy as it has been in the past.

It seems to be a very optimistic vision, however, nothing seems to indicate that the world economic panorama and in particular that of the United States will improve ostensibly, considering the fact that it is impossible to reduce the emission of money by the FED, together with the decision to maintain the interest rate almost at zero, does nothing but enter a devaluation loop against its two main enemies: gold and Bitcoin.

The BTC and gold are becoming more detached from the dollar every day while the latter shows no signs or hope of recovery. Also, unlike 2008, the BTC factor and cryptomonies are gaining more followers every second due to the confidence generated by their technology and the fact that it is impossible to manipulate at least in the emission. Large investors such as Blackrock are aware of BTC's capacity as a safe haven value and are already offering their clients important offers in this crypto-currency as an alternative to the uncertainty of the dollar.

Considering that the dollar will cease to exist this very year seems a very reckless assertion, no matter how much this currency reduces its value the world is designed for the use and storage of this currency, however it is evident that its permanence in time will not last forever, the fiat model of which it is the maximum exponent is collapsing and evidently this affects the once unquestionable American dollar.
