The Fan Sports Token, another way to support your team

The F.C. Barcelona started it, last July 22nd 2020 the spanish soccer club announced to its fans around the world that it will have its own token for sale called $BAR, specifically 177,000 units at a price of 2US$ each which were sold out in just two minutes. This initiative was developed thanks to the support of the company Chilliz who provides the platform Socios.com, where the blockchain is developed where the Barcelona and other important teams place their digital assets.

After the Barcelona Juventus, Paris Saint Germail and other important teams joined this initiative by placing their own tokens in the platform, attracting their fans and generating income as these digital financial instruments become more and more popular and valuable. It should be noted that these tokens are only interchangeable under the CHZ pair, the native token of Chilliz, which in turn interacts with other platforms such as Binance or those using the ERC-20 token.

But not everything is limited to the financial aspect, the sports tokens also offer the fan the possibility to make decisions about certain aspects of the life of the club of their love. Through the Partners.com application, "investing fans" will be able to make decisions under smart contract elections where fans decide which uniform to wear during the season or at a particular event, have access to certain tickets, raffles and other team-related activities.

For now this is just starting, as of today the Barcelona Fan Token ($BAR) is over 13US$, the Juventus (JUV) just over 11US$ or the Paris San Germain (PSG) around 12US$. Meanwhile the native token of Chillliz (CHZ) is valued at 0.019093US$ according to Coinmarketcap data. In any case, Chiliz says that this is only the tip of the iceberg, and they are already planning to integrate the tokens into the BTC pair. On the other hand, many more teams will be integrated to this platform and will offer more products; likewise, this style of relationships with the fans will be successfully replicated in the sports world, configuring a new alternative that is closer to the youngest and most knowledgeable fans of this type of electronic business.
