War Riders is running and you can play it for free now. In the game you take your blockchain vehicle and attach a blockchain gun to it and go around the wasteland taking out other cars. If you get the game now you get a free vehicle so you can drive around without spending any more. The game looks high end for blockchain games and you can earn crypto by playing it with the in-game mining mechanic.

Gameplay

Anyone every play Twisted Metal? This game kind of reminds me of that but with more free controls. Twisted Metal was back in the day when you didn't have two analogue sticks and you could only shoot where your car was facing (though it was still a fun ass game). But in War Riders I am seeing a cursor move around so I think you can move your mount separate from where you are driving so you can run away and still put up a fight.

The game is an open wasteland with cars driving around shooting at each other. You do not lose your blockchain car if you get destroyed but you do need to wait a couple of minutes for a respawn timer to go before you can get back out there. However if you buy more than one car you can use the other one while you wait.

You drive around, take out other cars and then mine for coins.

So How Do I Make Money?

That is where the in-game mining comes up. The world of War Riders is pretty open with gas pumps in them. If you find them and park in front of them you will start to mine BZN. It works pretty well in-game from what I've seen you drive up to the BZN pump and your meter fills up with BZ. It happens really quickly so it's not like you have to waste time sitting idle in the game. When the pump is empty (or you fill your gauge) you take your coins and I think you then have to make it back to your garage to keep them.

The problem is other players might want that pump and you might face have to battle it out as you wait for your coins. I don't know if you can loot players who have BZN that they have yet to get back to their garage but it would make sense for this type of game and give more value to your guns and vehicles. If the only purpose is to mine I really don't need a good car unless I have to constantly protect itself.

Is BZN Worth Anything

Yes but not yet. According to the site one BZN is worth 50 cents USD. This is a really good price considering how fast you can mine and the guy I was watching made like $50 worth in under 2 hours. The issue is you cannot trade them yet so I'm going to wait until the market is open or the coin goes on exchanges as right now I only so much time. But the game does look fun and being free I do think it's worth a try
