Xaya Launches 2021 Roadmap

Xaya has been around for a long time the crypto space and it has flown under the radar compared to other gaming tokens such as Enjin (which has just seen a massive jump when it was announced it was receiving regulatory approval). They were originally a project called Huntercoin that was a game where people could get the coins in the map of the game. It was early tech and was not ready for the mainstream adoption. However new games are starting to come out that are showing we can have high quality games that are backed by the blockchain. Xaya is hoping to one of the chains that gamers are using.

Games On Xaya

The biggest titles on the platform right now are Soccer Manager Elite and Taurion.

Soccer Manager Elite is a game about, well, soccer managing. You can probably guess by the title the type of game this is. You buy a stadium and players and manage your team. You can also be a shareholder and own parts of teams to make money. We have a similar game on Hive called rabona.io which you should check out if you are into soccer managing games. There is a beta up if you want to try it.

Taurion on the other hand is a sci-fi MMO where you own your items that runs with the Unreal engine and is partnered with the Ubisoft Entrepreneur's Lab. You can get a vehicle that you drive around the planet and colelct loot as you would in an MMO. The difference is you can sell that loot on the market and make real money for it. MMOs are a game that will work well on the blockchain as they are all about loot and have in-game economies so they can translate well. There are already titles out now that don't have blockchain tech behind them and they have a full economy where people are selling stuff for real money. I will probably try this when when it gets a full release.

There are other titles coming as well that run on the chain but these are the two big ones and they already have gameplay for them.

A Quick Look At The Roadmap

2021 is going to have an upgrade to their wallet that should work on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android as well as an upgrade to their mining pool. One of the biggest focuses will be on Android integration. This could be huge as the mobile game market major space and there is not really any blocckhain games on mobile yet. Imagine being able to play a game on your phone while you wait and make money doing it. They are also working on a fiat gateway so people can buy Chi (their coin) easily and they are working on getting their coin wrapped as well so it can be used on other chains.Then you have the game development which include updates for their major titles.

Xaya On The Market

Xaya is currently sitting on number 1097 on the top coins on coin market cap. It has a market cap of around $2 million at the moment and will have a max supply of 77 million coins.

Xaya is an interesting project to keep an eye on and I want to try out their games when they get more polished. Enjin and eth right now are in the limelight but there is a lot of room in the blockchain gaming world and all you need is a solid title that people are playing to take a palce in it.
