Intro

Hello everyone this time I will be sharing some experience that I have with renting to finish my daily Water Quest and also experimenting with the setups and basic placement for my Monster. This post will also be my entry for @splinterlands Social Media Challenge.

This post will also help you to bring up some ideas to rent what cards that may be suitable for you and help you to advance to Silver League or maybe to higher leagues.

Basic Information

Chaos Legion Updates may bring more confusion towards many players right now due to more unpredictable META or many bots that get you stuck at some level. But rest easy, these cards that I recommend will help you a lot to break those barriers.

Basically, with the current option in Water Deck, you are only left with 2 Decent summoners like Bortus and New Summoner Kelya. These 2 summoners gave big changes in the last patch Water Deck with Alric as summoner (+1 Magic) is OP and focuses more on the Attack power and fast-paced gameplay to end the game. But with these 2 summoners right now, only focuses on more Melee Gameplay and more sustainable play. So what I will be renting and using for my quest is Magic oriented monster and this remains very strong despite being a little bit expensive, but I assure you this will bring higher win rates.

What I Rent

Summoner

I'm renting Alric because it will maximize your magic damage output as there are many Water Monsters that are magic damage oriented. Remember to rent according to your maximal level for your league. I only rented for level 3 Alric for my Silver League

Strategy: Put as many magic monsters through your deck so you can play accordingly

Monster - Tanker

Lobstradamus is a good tank to repel attack from Melee Monster or any Deck that focuses on attacking 1st position such as current META with General Sloan its ranged oriented attack.

Torhilo is a Solid Tank in facing the magic enemy. It can be better used in the Enraged ruleset so it can maximize its Melee Damage. It also has a Void that can repel the enemy's magic attack.

Djinn Oshannus can be your main to-go tank or Second Line Tank because it has high damage, high speed, and also Void if you are facing Magic focused enemy you can place it behind Torhillo to tank more damage.

Monster - Damage Dealer

Ruler of the Sea is a Solid Monster that can give you many damage output to your enemies, place him in the 4 or 5th position to maximize its damage. Snipe Rules is his main favorable condition.

Phantom of The Abyss is a Solid Monster with high speed and many dodge abilities. You can use it as 2nd liner or in the last position as it has high damage and sustainability.

Coral Wraith can be your substitute magic attacker if you think your enemy will place many squishy heroes in the backline. This also helps with the magic lineup as usually, it will attack only 1st position, giving surprise element to the enemy without taunt.

Monster - Support

River Hellondale provides many benefits in Water Deck, mainly you can combine it with Taunt Card to give it more chance to tank or use it as the usual way to revive your 1st liner.

Venari Wavesmith Will be your main support especially in facing enemies that focuses on Melee and Ranged attack as its Protection (+2 Armor Buff) help you a lot in making sustainability in battle

Torrent Fiend is a Solid Pick for your low mana cap battle. You can place it with many cost 1 mana monster to act as a meatshield for your other monster. Combine it with Venari Wavesmith for its maximum effect

WaveBrood is a new Chaos Legion Card with many functionalities I like to use it in the last position to tank some damage. With its ranged attack it's quite flexible with the placement of this monster with Taunt Ability, place it accordingly to the Rules. If there are blast rules I prefer to use them at the backline

Battle Ideas

Those are my main rent for my water Deck, even though a little expensive you can mix and match according to your needs, and here are some of my replays that might help you to implement these cards for your gameplay.

Conclusion

Based on my experience I had a lot of fun playing with Water Magic Deck as there are less counter in facing magic and its quite easy to use. Despite there are many challenges such as a little bit expensive to rent. But playing in Silver League you can Break Even your rent quite easily with this kind of setup. Remember you can also accumulate many card at cheaper price during this crypto market dump. Thank you and Godbless
