The Saturday Savers Club | My Savings Goal & Plans
On the second Saturday of this year, I came across a post by @eddie-earner about the Saturday Savers Club and I declared my interest to be a part of it. I've also seen posts about it especially from @shanibeer but I never really got to check it out. Even when I noted my interest, I still didn't know how to go about writing my post but I reckon all I need to do is say why I'm joining and what savings plan I choose to go with.
The Saturday Savers Club is really an awesome way to keep track and be accountable with my savings. With everything broken down into weekly and even daily savings, I will be able to clearly see how my savings performance is going.
There are different savings plan to go with and you can choose to create your personal savings plan too. I chose to save what I can each week because my post rewards vary weekly. My goal for saving is to grow my crypto portfolio so I can be able to facilitate my travel plans in the long run.
I mentioned at the start of the year that my goal this year is to get at least 3000HP in total. I'm currently at 1120HP and that means I'm looking at getting an additional 2800HP in the span of one year. Based on my rough estimate, this is possible with the current rate of my author and curation rewards. It's also likely that I would surpass this goal if I 100% power up some of my post rewards.
My secondary goal is to get 1500 HBD total in my HBD savings. @shanibeer was kind to show me a projection breakdown of my HBD in savings if I continued earning at the same rate each month.
At the end of the year, that's $1201 in savings and you can see it's not far from my personal goal. The best part about this for me is that due to the volatility of the crypto market, I could do way better than this projection at the end of the year.
Between the day I showed interest in joining the savers club and now, I have transferred $101.065 HBD to my HBD savings.
I'm also looking to grow my second-layer tokens and I'm particular about my Leo power. Right now, my Leo power is at 116 and I'm looking at 500 Leo power in 6 months by powering up all of my Leo, and I'd review that goal over the course of the year.
I learnt about EDS, a second-layer income token on hive-engine that offers 12% Hive income every Monday. I'm looking to buy some as soon as I can and ofcourse, be lucky to win some as I participate in the weekly savers club posts.
Overall, I'd say the Saturday Savers Club is a great community of savers that I'm excited to be a part of and you should get onboard with one of the provided saving plans or you come up with whatever plan you're comfortable with.
