So, Dfinity Foundation’s internet computer (ICP) token went live today on Coinbase Pro, starting at a whooping price of $700 before dipping to 251$ and is currently trading at 350$.

As of now 123.7 millions are in circulation, giving coin the market cap of approx. $42 billion and making it the 8th largest coin by market cap, ahead of Polkadot.

Dfinity is a smart contract based platform that runs at internet speed. In contrast to traditional internet which relies on centralized AWS or other cloud service providers, Definity's Internet Computer utilizes data centers around the world to operate standardized computer nodes and hosts all applications from the open web and blockchains.More Reading

After Coinbase listing, Huobi and OKEx also announced support for ICP token. Moreover, OKEs also announced $10 million investment into the development of high quality projects onto the Internet Computer ecosystem.

ICP token loosing 50% of its price at its launch day in a red market can be just simply be a bad luck and it might take some time before project settles in and coin price stabilizes. The project however does have real gas behind it, with project team having world's top cryptographers, developers and coding experts. Dfinity alone have 10,000 academic citations and 200 patents to its credit.
