Splinterlands: Beware Trees in Anumün May Come Alive

Time for the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.

This week we are gonna go with the amazing earth splinter monster that draws its mystical power from the land itself, EARTH ELEMENTAL. EARTH ELEMENTAL is a rare earth splinter ranged monster that comes in both alpha and beta editions. Costing just 3 mana, it have decent health. At level-4 it even gets Heal ability making him a nice defensive monster. Although having very low speed, it can still be pretty useful.

I own only level-2 EARTH ELEMENTAL and @neoxian was kind enough to lend me maxed alpha EARTH ELEMENTAL for this. Due to my low level summoner, I could only summon level-6 EARTH ELEMENTAL but still I loved using it. Thanks @neoxian sir, for the kind delegation.

Currently there are 3,334 normal foil and 160 gold foil Alpha EARTH ELEMENTALs in circulation, costing 0.54$/BCX and 26$/BCX respectively. Also there are 7,477 normal and 502 gold foil Beta EARTH ELEMENTALs circulating, pricing 0.27$/BCX and 3.88$/BCX respectively. The price of alpha foil EARTH ELEMENTAL is staggering.

Here is the all time price trend of Normal and Gold Foil Alpha and Beta EARTH ELEMENTAL, courtesy SPLINTX. Surprising to see the recent surge due to this battle challenge.

`Favored Battle Rules`

EARTH ELEMENTAL can be used in all battle rules. But it is best suited in Reverse Speed battle rule due to inherent low speed. EARTH ELEMENTAL is best suited Little League and Close Range rule set.

`Placement`

EARTH ELEMENTAL like all ranged attack monsters are best suited in back ranks. It can be placed on the very last position to act as a sneak protector due to Heal ability.

`How to Use`

EARTH ELEMENTAL can be complemented in variety of ways using various summoners and monsters.

ARCHMAGE ARIUS, PRINCE RENNYN and SELENIA SKY summoners can be used to increase ranged attack of EARTH ELEMENTAL.

DRAKE OF ARNAK, SCARRED LLAMA MAGE and MYLOR CROWLING summoners also nicely complement EARTH ELEMENTAL.

Shield from protect ability monsters can provide extra protection to EARTH ELEMENTAL.

`Defense`

The best way to evade EARTH ELEMENTAL is by using speed. It can also be killed by using heavy sneak and opportunity attacks.

`MY BATTLE USING SCREAMING BANSHEE`

This was a 18 mana battle with two battle rule, Target Practice and Reverse Speed.

`LYANNA NATURA`

Since it was low mana battle, so I went with low mana summoner, LYANNA NATURA. I love using earth splinter in low mana battles, due to amazing low cost monsters it offers.

`FAILED SUMMONER`

Upfront I placed my favorite low mana tank, FAILED SUMMONER. Heavy health with Magic Reflect at just 2 mana, couldn't ask for more.

`EARTH ELEMENTAL`

On one down position, I placed star of our show, EARTH ELEMENTAL. EARTH ELEMENTAL can take the expected snipe damage due to Heal ability.

`FURIOUS CHICKEN`

Next I placed the zero mana monster, FURIOUS CHICKEN. I wouldn't risk placing it in the very last and risk suppressing last stand of KRON THE UNDYING.

`KRON THE UNDYING`

On the very last, I took a gamble and placed one of my favorite legendary, KRON THE UNDYING. The Last Stand with Heal is really a nice combination.

`BATTLE ANALYSIS`

This was unusual lineup for me. I took a gamble with KRON THE UNDYING and it worked. EARTH ELEMENTAL did its job pretty well of attacking the enemy and absorbing the damage upfront. KRON also tackled sneak attack pretty nicely. Overall it was a fun battle to fight.
