A part means my valuable cards in this case. My total owned Splinterlands card collection is currently worth $153.77 USD. Many of my Splinterlands cards worth a few cents, but there are a few valuable Splinterlands cards, and I am leasing out those Splinterlands cards.

You may ask why. Why I lease out these Splinterlands cards instead of playing?

The new reward system looked very promising at first. I started to rent cards. I even reached the Gold III League in the previous season. And I was lucky enough in the previous season to earn even a card pack from one of the focus chests.

But the quality of the rewards declined again over time. At first, there were cards, then a few hundred Dark Energy Crystal (DEC), then a few Dark Energy Crystal (DEC) again. Then the usual Alchemy and Legendary Potion Charges. A bunch of them.

Maybe this is just/only my experience, but this is what I experienced in the first season with the new reward system. I saw some people, who stopped playing Splinterlands at the initiation of the new reward system. At least I tried it out. I gave it a chance.

It did not made the game better. Players need to put more time and effort into the game to earn the same (or even less amount of) rewards.

Too much effort for too little rewards. Not to mention the fact that 5000 focus point was needed for one focus chest in the first season, and now, in the second season, 18 000 focus points is needed for it. Probably because I reached the Gold III League in the previous season.

But it is not worth it. The rewards does not cover the cost of the renting of the cards, let alone giving any amount of earnings. Maybe I rented the wrong cards. I do not know.

Either way, it needs too much time anyway. I would need to play the game for many hours just to earn a focus chest.

So I think that it is not worth it. Nor in time, neither in money.

The card leasing gives me around 137.438 Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) per day.

The current average price of the Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) is $0.00094 USD, so I earn appromately $0.12 USD per day. Which is approximately $3.60 USD per month. That is good for a lunch in various restaurants in the city, where I currently work (Szolnok, Hungary).

Probably not bad for an investment of approximately $153 USD. So Splinterlands is still good as an investment, but not so much as a game.

Or at least this is what I can currently say, based on my personal experience. Maybe your experience is different. It would be very good to read it, so feel free to write a few words about this in the comment section. Maybe I can even learn one or more things. Maybe it is possible to play this game in a profitable way with card renting, just I currently do not know about it.

Good luck and have fun.
