It's a little bit late, but for those who know me, this is posted earlier than most of my blogs. I don't how to approach with this one because this seems to be a deviation from my normal content. I rarely post milestones before, but I guess times have changed. Since I already declared that I will be dipping my toes to different areas that I never explored before, I guess this is one of those areas.

This is my first post in Leo Finance and I don't know if this qualifies. It seems I qualified to be "that guy" who starts posting in Leo Finance just for the rewards. In a way, I think I'm guilty, but let me lay out my case just to feel a little bit of absolution. I will not pretend at this point because there's no reason to do so, but let me just make my intentions clear.

I have been observing the developments in and of Hive since its conception. I'm not the kind who would immediately join the gold rush or jump in with the hype train without properly weighing in my options. This trait often cost me a lot by simply missing out on some profitable projects to venture. I often do a lot of research first before trying out something or try it and then get bored somewhere in the process.

The reason why I'm doing this now is because I was inspired by one of the conversations in Discord about some developments in Hive. Someone said that Hive will continue to evolve and develop with or without you. This means that projects will rise and fall. Hive being decentralized, those projects with robust mechanism will continue to thrive and adapt while those with weak foundation will eventually die. That's how things work. I believe that Leo Finance has reached that level of stability as a niche project in Hive. The last attack on wLEO and the subsequent handling of the team made me believe the project has surpassed one tough test in order to survive.

Putting Some Skin in the Game

I actually delegated some of my HP to @leo.voter 21 days ago. It's not much, but I think it's what I can afford at the moment. I learned from @adamada that you can earn daily dividends in LEO if you delegate some HP to @leo.voter. Before delegating 1/5 of my total HP, I actually weighed in the pros and cons. I find it advantageous to earn tokens other than HIVE. Besides, I can remove my delegation anytime in case something unexpected happens.

Daily dividends are consistent, but you need to have higher HP delegated to have a substantial payout. Since I can't afford to stake, I planned to supplement those daily earnings through posting. As for the content that I will produce, I don't want to regurgitate those that can be found on the internet. I want to produce content from the perspective of someone who comes from the country where finance-related topics are not taught in school unless you pursue it in college and crypto topics are still part of jokes and memes.

And now for the main topic of this post.

Reaching 10,000 HP

Unlike some of the people I looked up here, I don't have a specific goal like by the end of the year, I should have this amount of HP. I don't invest from my own pocket either because aside from the fact that I can't afford, I don't want to change my perspective about Hive. This means that almost everything I have here comes from the earnings of my posts. With this, I would like to thank those who believed in me and continued to support the content that I produce.

As they say, Hive is for the long game. That's why I have to condition myself to stay here in the long run. I always say this and I will say this again: I have no plans of leaving anytime soon. I hope this is already clear regardless of what app I use.

For me, the numbers here represent the experiences I had on this platform together with the amazing people I made friends from all around the world. I wouldn't reach this far without those I interacted constantly here. I hope this will continue regardless of what the price of HIVE is.

Hive Power Up Day

This is my second Hive Power Up Day. I actually powered up before but didn't bother joining every first day of the month. I just powered up every time I feel like powering up. To set an example for the people I invited, I decided to power up together with them. With @hiveph, we always encourage our fellow Filipino Hivers to power up every power-up day.

I earned a power up helper badge by powering up someone. It's good to have a badge, but I did it as a reward to @wandergirl for powering up for this month's power-up day. I plan to continue rewarding those who will join the power-up day. For now, I'll start with my friends.

This is also my second time to sponsor a delegation to the winners of @hiveph's power-up day initiative. Congrats to @straykat for this month's delegation! I hope you'll use it well. It's not much, but I hope it can help in growing your account.

Overall, I think last month was very productive for me. I should continue with this to reach more milestones in the future. I think that's all for this post. See you in my future posts. For now, I'll do some research about some financial stuff that's suited to the Philippine context.
