Chaos Legion Pre-Sale Event
Chaos Legion is upon us and everyone is preparing to buy and open packs and getting multiple sweet Gold Foil Legendaries! For this event, its very different from the previous expansions. For Chaos Legion, we will need something known as Vouchers to be able to buy a pack. This Voucher will be on top of the base $4 for the pack itself
How do i get Vouchers?
There are 2 main ways that ill explain for you to get vouchers during this Pre Sale event
1. Staking SPS
By staking SPS, you will get Vouchers proportionate to how much is being staked. Below is a sample calculation with 1000 SPS Staked

2. Buying of Vouchers
Starting 18th of October, you will be able to buy/sell vouchers on the Hive Engine. Currently prices of the vouchers are around the $20 range. This means that the total value of opening a pack during Chaos Legion is $20 + $4 = $24. $24 is alot of money but its relative. If the value you get back is more than the $24 then its a great investment but this is a gamble in my opinion and no one can guarentee that you will make back this money. The next best thing that we can do is to carefully analyse to see if $20 makes sense for a voucher
Before we go into the calculation, we have to address a very big elephant in the room. Why do we need to participate in the Pre-Sale? Cant we just wait till after the pre-sale when vouchers are not needed?
Participating in the Pre-Sale has certain benefits.
If you are a common player and not a whale, the exclusive airdrop chance is something very exciting. In the Untammed Edition, these were the cards that were Airdropped to people

Looking at the values of the cards now, many of them have appreciated ALOT but some of them espeically the epic and rare versions are valued below $40.
There will be a total of 13 airdrop cards released as part of the Chaos Legion set as well as one special limited-edition promo card that will be airdropped at the end of the presale. A new card will be released and airdropped to all previous pack purchasers after the next batch of 1M Chaos Legion packs have been sold.
Each pack purchased during the presale (including bonus packs) will have a 2% chance of receiving a limited-edition promo card, and each of those will have a 2% chance of being a gold foil version (1 out of 50 on average). Accounts that have purchased 50 or more packs during the presale will be guaranteed to receive at least one limited-edition promo card for EACH 50 packs purchased, and accounts that purchase 1000 or more packs during the presale will be guaranteed to receive at least one gold foil limited-edition promo card for each 1000 packs purchased.
How much should a Voucher cost?
Assuming that we buy 50 vouchers to guarantee 1 of the airdrops, if really lucky, its a Legendary and makes me $300 and if im not really lucky and get a Rare or Epic, i make $30. As such, im really not bullish on the vouchers as most people out there.
I personally feel that the vouchers should cost up to $300/50= $6. Anymore than that and you are outright gambling. Of course if you are aiming to buy alot of packs to get the in game title or Gold Foil Legendary, more power to you but for the rest of us, we shouldnt be paying more than $6 for a voucher.
Of course, the market is volatile and we truly wont know how much these airdropped cards will go for so these are my predictions and i would love to be wrong and the values explode to $1000.
