Today is seven days before the inter-gallactic HIVE Power Up Day Event. Now is the time for people to power down; so that they will have something to power up. (maybe that sentiment is self-defeating)

Since I power up all of my HIVE as I earn it. I never have any coin to power up on Power Up Day.

Fortunately, the HIVE community launched the Hive-Engine this year. I figure I can use Hive Engine for my power up activity.

Hive Stats says that the portfolio in my Hive Engine Wallet is worth over $10.

It seems to me that the best approach to Hive Engine is to select a few coins and concentrate on earning those coins. To prepare for PUD I went to Hive-Engine this morning and claimed all of my outstanding awards. I then looked through the coin descriptions.

LEO appears to be the best managed coin. I like STEM as it associates my account with Science, Technology and Math. I am a bit hesitant of collecting coins associated with culture wars. So, I will power down those despite the fact that they probably have better earning potential.

I like the CCC coin. Having CCC associates me with the creative arts. Unfortunately, the site associated with the Creative Coin reports an application error and the price of the coin is dropping.

I really appreciate the help that Gift Giver has given to new users; So I bought some GIFT even though they were not designed to be staked.

Anyway, after claiming my outstanding coins, I launched the unstake process several coins with the idea that I will be able to sell them and buy coins to power up.

BTW: I haven't figured out the focus of Bilpcoin, Neoxian City or the Archon Tribe. I really wish the designers of the alt-coin interfaces did a better job of describing their communities.

Anyway, it is seven days to PUD and I powered down some coins so that I will have something to power up.

Yes, that sounds pathetic. Power Up day is a good excuse to rearrange one's Hive Engine account.
