HIVE is starting to realize the potential for improving the lives of ordinary people.
The Internet that people dismiss as Web1.0 was on the same path.
It was possible for ordinary people to make some money with affiliate ads. There were also ad companies that paid decent amounts for traffic.
Unfortunately big tech, malicious entities, and dishonest affiliate networks destroyed the funding mechanism and big tech was able to dominate the industry.
BTW: It is interesting that Venezuelans are among the groups that realize the need for structures that help fund the net.
