I read yesterday that the majority of the users of Bithumb and Upbit in Korea are women, often mothers of ages between 40 and 50. The interest in cryptocurrency there cuts across different societal groups.

We are not known by our gender here yet it's been twice as hard getting my female friends to be active as it has been with males. They never stay.

My interest in fintech and cryptocurrency only increased a few months ago when I realized that I could understand everything if I just gave myself time and put in the effort. Many females I've spoken to about this don't seem to believe understanding it is necessary.

However, Hive is an open space. So, for today I'll be sharing some simple tips that will help ladies get involved here, depending on their interests.

I would like to state that females are present in every community, however, based on my friends I've spoken to, these communities are more or less what they would find interesting. So I guess I'm writing this for them.

I'll also be adding some relevant tags that they could use to get some tokens and engagement.

Communities you might like

I'll start off with the ones I'm a bit active on;

  • Leofinance: This community is mostly dominated by males. Asides from a few fel=males who show up once in a while, it's mostly guys. I'm not complaining. Took me a while to get a hang of it, I'm still getting a hang of it. It's a fun place to get information on technology, blockchain, fintech, finance, and other cool stuff.

  • Movies & TV Series: This community attracted a couple of my friends. It's a great place to get information and share information about your favourite movies and tv series. I write here almost every day.

  • OCD: I haven't been active here for a while, but it's a great place to write all your original content. They have really cool contests sometimes too.

  • The Inkwell: This for short story writers. I usually take part in their weekly prompts. If you have a flair for writing or reading stories, this is a great place for you.

  • Rant, Complain, Talk: Whenever I seek closure, I write out my problems in this community. Can't say I'm very active here, but it comes in handy.

  • Stem social: I'm not all about STEM but sometimes, I write about medical-related stuff sometimes.

  • THE LIFESTYLE LOUNGE: I basically come here to relax. In this community, I post random things that happen during the day.

I'm in a couple of other communities but these are the ones that come to mind when I want to write. Some other communities that may interest you are;

  • Ladies of Hive
  • Education
  • Hive bookclub
  • Hive Pets
  • Makeup Power
  • Natural Medicine
  • Music
  • Bible Readers
  • Blogging Challenge
  • Hive Naija
  • GEMS
  • Freewriters
  • Cultural Revolution
  • Faces of Hive

Be sure to always read the community rules when you subscribe and engage with other contents.

Some of my usual tags are; #proofofbrain #palnet #ctp #neoxian #creativecoin #cinetv

However, you can check out the chart on this post for front-ends and token tags.

I had two friends in mind when I began writing this @beeswords and @khaleesi. They've had a hard time fitting in here so I decided to show them some love today.

These are communities that I know they would most probably find interesting, however, feel free to share this with any friend you have who has these kinds of interests.

I would also like to state again that I'm not implying that these are the only communities where females can fit in. Hive is such a wonderful platform, everyone is accepted everywhere. There are so many other communities I haven't explored.

I hope this makes it easier for them and any other person who comes across this. Feel free to add others you think they might be interested in and some relevant tips. Thanks for reading!
