Have you ever started a day with high hopes, gone on the internet and just put down your phone or laptop because you couldn't just wrap your head around "what the heck is going on?!!"?

That's exactly how my day started.

I started with vague tweets about how "Elon is going to hell" and how his Twitter account ought to be blocked, and other centralized people problems.

Going into detail seems foolish. I'm certain you know exactly what I'm referring to, however, I would like to explore another angle of this situation.

First off, Bitcoin is a Proof of Work (PoW). If you and Elon don't know what that means, I'll do you the honours of explaining what it.

What is Proof of Work (PoW)?

Proof of Work is a mechanism that prevents anyone from using the computer power with malicious intent. It requires an immense amount of effort as arbitrary mathematical puzzles are solved to protect the system.

In simple English, Proof of Work is difficult. It is the reason behind the anonymity of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because it facilitates peer to peer transactions.

Explaining Proof of Work is a lot more in-depth than what I just explained, but the main point is this:

Anyone who gets a glimpse of the idea of what Proof of Work is or even searches the word 'Bitcoin' on the internet is leading to the fact that they require an obscene amount of energy.

I wrote about this briefly here.

The next option for generating cryptocurrencies is Proof of Stake, which is what Hive is about.

All this begs the question - "How in the world did Elon Musk not know this?"

I sense a meme coming through at the end of this, but until then, I'm steady observing.

However, as of right now, I no longer want to have Elon Musk's babies (I'll change my mind in 10 minutes).
