Washing natural Nigerian virgin hair is a major chore because of how thick it is. I don't use prescribed products for virgin hair because they're expensive and I've given up on expensive products. These are cheap. Both cost about $2 I have pretty long hair but my shrinkage is exceptional. I actually think my hair should be longer because I have split ends that I haven't had the time to trim yet. They said I bought an ugly extension but it served its purpose. I've been advised to never buy this brand again. She started off by trying to pull out my hair a bit and apply some oil. Then she opened up my scalp to find some spots my fingers didn't get to while washing so I had to go back to get the dirt out. It sucks having really thick hair sometimes. I like how painless and neat her hands are. She's also on hive, her name's @meyateingi At first, she was pretty fast and I thought we'd be done in 2 or 3 hours at most. We'd gotten over halfway and taken a second break. This was after 3 hours. Boy was I tired... _We finally completed the hair after 5 hours. _ Notice how my forehead glitters lol She tied the tips in a knot like this to help get some bouncy curls. Finally, after trimming, she soaks the entire hair in hot water to get it tight and neat.

My mom got a bit fed up with the fact that I've been wearing only wigs all year. She hates them for some reason and says they do damage to the front hair. I don't think they do though.

Well, I wanted to get my hair done but I didn't have enough cash anymore after spending on her surprise birthday party that she knows nothing about, I didn't have a lot of money left so I cancelled with my stylist. My mom heard me cancelling with her and decided to pay half. It wasn't a lot of money but I just felt overwhelmed with the increase in the price of extensions.

I love getting braids. Normally, I would get a pack for $2 and that would be okay, now I found out that the same pack goes for $4. That's way too much of an increase for me and the fact that I still have to pay a service charge of $3. I didn't have that kind of money to spare so my mom got me the extensions while I paid for the service.

The increase in prices is suffocating. These things still seem affordable but they're double the price from just a few months ago and they don't seem to be getting cheaper anytime soon.

So, how do you like my new temporary look?
