Since I began my journey into product design, I've found myself needing more skills that I feel could single me out as a designer. While I work tirelessly to perfect my design skills, I spend an equal amount of time seeking out skills to add. Image source Last year, I had the desire to learn web development because I felt it was the next step as I began to search for jobs and skills in CSS and HTML became in demand. I applied to a BootCamp and I got accepted.

Unfortunately, along the way, I realised I was having a pretty hard time with the pace of the program. I tried to follow up until the end, however, during the Capstone project I realised I couldn't do much and so I gave up on the project after completing about 25% of the project.

I hate giving up on things that I feel are important to me so I've decided to try again but on a different path. For some reason, I tend to get accepted for training programs twice as fast as I get considered for jobs.

I first heard about Webflow only a couple of weeks ago. Turns out it's a no-code SaaS used to create websites and then generate the HTML, CSS and JS codes of what has been created.

Basically, it's the future of web development. Turns out there are others that have been in existence for a while not like Wix and they're a bit different from WordPress in terms of data and security.

I heard about it and I got curious about what it would take to pick up such a skill and guess what? I got information about a course on it being taught by ADPList and after applying, I was fortunate to get accepted into the program.

The program is scheduled to start next week Tuesday and is set to last for about 3 weeks. It's going to be pretty intensive and maybe a lot of work but I'm quite happy to finally give this a try once again.

I'm still job hunting and working quite hard on my 3 ongoing unpaid projects. I hope this additional program won't take up too much of my time coz as it turns out, I still have an ongoing program as well on product design that's sponsored by Microsoft. I was hoping it wouldn't be a beginner course but turns out they're teaching just the basics that I already know.

I really hope I don't become a jack of all trades and a master of none. I want to use this time I have as I job hunt to become the best that I can be. Wish me luck...
