The road to becoming my own boss

I spent a while thinking about what I've gained financially from working for others, compared to what I've gained from my blogging and freelance activities and I have to say that the margin is high.

I think the highest pay I've received from a "paid employment" is $30. And that was for a month's work. I made some calculations and I realized that thanks to my online activities I could actually get myself on a similar paycheck soon. However, this time, I would have a sensible boss (myself) and I know where exactly my money is coming from and why I have to cherish it.

A lot of people I know don't get to spend up to $30 on themselves every month. And this isn't because they don't earn more than that, it's because they find themselves in situations where they don't get the chance to spend that much on themselves.

They could be earning 3 times that or even more and find themselves spending half on transportation and another half on feeding and other superficial payments that come with working with other people and socializing.

I sit home, write and get paid. I don't have much of social life because I barely have the time for it, however, I can pay myself for my activities. Soon though, not yet. It's just an imagination of the satisfaction I'll feel when I finally get there.

I'm grateful to have taken my writing activities seriously for the past couple of months. It has paid off big time and I'm happy with the progress I've made. I look forward to doing more and gaining more knowledge in the process.
