Hello there Splinterlands Fam! As we wait for another airdrop card, let's discuss first the last 3 legendary airdrop monster cards that have been released.

LIRA THE DARK

Lira was turned into a vampire as a young woman when she attended a party of the rich and powerful, only to later realize that the majority of the guests were vampires. However, Lira did not see her new self as a monster. Rather, she saw her vampirism as an opportunity. Lira was born into a high-standing family that struggled with maintaining their wealth, so she embraced the transformation and set to work building her power and influence.

After her parents passed away, Lira took over their ancient manor nestled deep within the mountains. It is a manor always wreathed in shadow, and it is there that Lira conducts her rituals. A pact with shadow itself gave Lira immense spellcasting prowess. It enabled her to traverse the Splinterlands by moving from shadow to shadow. It also enabled her to use shadows as weapons against her enemies, allowing her to attack from afar.

Over the years Lira has led a cult of vampires. With her guidance, they have infiltrated the sects of the rich and powerful. Lira can make anyone do as she wishes through exploitation and threats, but if those don't work, she is more than happy to feast on her prey.

Across the Splinterlands, the name Lira the Dark is said with fear and awe. Other vampires envy the power she has achieved. She has had to defend her manor many times against those seeking to unseat her. The corpses of those who have tried now hang from her walls as a warning to others.

ABILITIES AT MAX LEVEL: OPPORTUNITY SNARE SWIFTNESS

REACTION: This is a powerful range legendary monster that possesses opportunity ability, snare, and swiftness at the max level. It also stands out with a very fast 6 speed plus 6 health for 7 mana cost monster. Simply one of the best range legendary monsters for a death element unit.

IZA THE FANGED

Rumors spread in the villages that if you wander too far into the jungles of Azmare that you'll be snatched by Iza the Fanged. She does not use her fangs, or her teeth to grab you—but the very jungle itself. She'll drag you off to some deep cave and place you before her to serve as dinner or plaything, depending on her mood. It is a tale that parents use to keep their children close to home. It is laughed off by villagers and travelers as a spooky campfire story. But every year the disappearances continue, so the rumors persist.

Iza enjoys the rumors spread about her, although she would point out her appetite is not for children. Iza does not know where she came from, except that she was born with the heart of a serpent. Her earliest memories are of trees all around her, covered in snakes. Iza moves silently, almost invisible, within the jungle. The earth mana wraps around her and flows through her, enabling her to control vines, thorns, and trees. Iza does not need weapons, for she is the very jungle itself. She prefers to string her victims along and play with them, taking her time to render someone paralyzed with her fanged bite.

Iza will prey on anyone who enters her territory. She has a particular fondness for snatching men after peering at them from between the trees, sparking their interest. She grabs them with twitching vines and hauls them towards her cave before striking. The last thing her paralyzed victims see is a dark, plant covered cave, decorated with human bones.

ABILITIES AT MAX LEVEL: SNEAK SCAVENGER STUN

REACTION: A good legendary range monster for the Earth element unit. It provides sneak, scavenger, and stun abilities at max level that will surely help your earth team. Not much damage at level 1 but for only 4 mana cost, this will certainly help to boost your preferred earth unit monsters.

GRUM FLAMEBLADE

Grum is known throughout his tribe as the strongest warrior. Born in the Sands of Draykh-Nahka, his hard upbringing made him a survivor. There was no weather too extreme, no drought too long, and no enemy too cunning for Grum. He became well-respected within the region for his battle prowess and defended his tribe countless times against the creatures of the wastes. Tales were sung around the fires of Grum's battle with the Great Wyrm of the Sands, the Earth-Shaking Titan, and Velissa the Sorceress. Grum's tribe, known as the Desert Blood, honored tradition, strength, and courage. He grew to become a legend amongst his people.

One day, he felt the spirits of his ancestors calling to him. Going on a solitary journey into the wasteland, he connected with an ancient past. A ruin lay deep underneath the desert that housed powerful mana. That connection imbued him with magic, and he became able to summon fire on his great sword, making him more formidable than ever before.

Grum could have taken this gift and used it to defend his tribe, but instead, he became arrogant. Who could defeat a warrior with a blade of fire? He began traveling, seeking out any foe that pleased him and doing as he chose. Even in the often dangerous draconic lands of Draykh-Nahka, there were few who would cross Grum.

His path took him across the Chaos Legion. Grum battled their warriors, but found he could not overcome their collective might. Their magic, their tactics, and their motivations were strange to Grum. It was something he'd never come across before. Rather than surrender, Grum was impressed. He chose to join the Chaos Legion and use their might to find new foes to face.

Grum now serves in the front lines of battle for the Chaos Legion. While he is a leader of the fiercest warriors, Grum fights right alongside even the newest soldier. He prefers to be the first to break the lines of the enemy and bring their heads back as his trophies. His ferocity and burning blade earned him the name Grum Flameblade across the land.

ABILITIES AT MAX LEVEL: BLOODLUST VOID ARMOR VOID GIANT KILLER

REACTION: One of the greatest tank legendary monsters created for the Fire element unit. It provides bloodlust, void armor, void and giant killer abilities at max level. Simply a destructive tank to be reckoned with however the mana cost for this one is 11. Still, with 4 damage, 5 armor, and 10 health at level one, this legendary monster is really a problem for any opponent.
