A new normal has emerged in the society and this is called the 'vaccine-pushers'.

A man in his thirties named Tangtang Zhao is a pharmacist based in Chicago, Illinois. Zhao was legally charged by the DOJ for allegedly selling 125 authentic Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) vaccine cards for about $10 apiece on eBay.

Zhao was charged with 12 counts of theft of government property and could face 120 years (10 years in prison per count) imprisonment if convicted, and a fine of $250,000.

A spokesperson for eBay would not comment specifically on this case of vaccination cards sold on its platform.

According to Special Agent Lamont Pugh III of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, stealing and selling COVID-19 vaccination cards is inexcusable for the reason that fraudsters are undermining the efforts of the government in addressing the pandemic, while profiting at the taxpayers' expense.

Vaccine cards came to popularity just in time when the COVID-19 vaccine is announced to be mandatory in New York City. Hence, the crack down is intensified. Batches of these vaccine cards found to be originating from China.

Zhao was a licensed pharmacist.
