Axie Infinity - My first two weeks [Mis dos primeras semanas]

I'm almost done my first two weeks playing Axie Infinity and I'm more hooked than ever. It's amazing how much it makes you think and break your head trying to win and be better.

At first light it seems like a simple game. You fight with a team of 3 Axies and each one has only 4 powers or abilities. It only has two modes, Adventure and Arena. And to top it all, Adventure mode is a simple level system and not so difficult to beat if you properly level up your Axies.

Ya casi terminé mis primeros 15 días jugando Axie Infinity y estoy más enganchado que nunca. Es increíble lo mucho que te hace pensar y romperte la cabeza para tratar de ganar y ser mejor.

A primeras luces parece un juego simple. Luchas con un equipo de 3 Axies y cada uno tiene solo 4 poderes o habilidades. Solo tiene dos modalidades, Aventura y Arena. Y para colmo el modo Aventura es un sistema de niveles simples y no tan difíciles de vencer si subes apropiadamente de nivel tus Axies.

However, the simple introduction of the concept of energy already changes many things. Since energy means money in the Arenas, the fact that you only have 20 a day is an important detail. Because to do the adventures fast you must use energy to level up your axies. But of course, each energy you use in adventures is a possible victory in Arena that you did not take advantage of and therefore a gain that you did not have. But if you don't level up your axies then you gain adventure SLPs very slowly and you have to spend a lot more time on that, hehehe.

But what really breaks your mind as an Axie player is how many Axies combinations there are. The concept of "Breed" or reproduction of Axies is great. You have to reproduce two for a third to be born. But he inherits the parts of his body (which define his stats and abilities) from his parents and not only from the parts they have, but from his recessive genes. In other words, those who are dedicated to breed have to take all those genes of the parents into account to know with what parts and genes the child will come out.

Sin embargo, la simple introducción del concepto de energía ya cambia muchas cosas. Como la energía significa dinero en las Arenas, el hecho de que solo tengas 20 por día es un detalle importante. Porque para hacer las aventuras rápido debes usar energía para subir de nivel tus axies. Pero claro, cada energía que uses en aventuras es una posible victoria en Arena que no aprovechaste y por tanto una ganancia que no tuviste. Pero si no subes tus axies de nivel, entonces ganas los SLP de aventura muy lentamente y debes emplear mucho más tiempo en eso, hehehe.

Pero lo que de verdad te rompe la cabeza como jugador de Axie es la cantidad de combinaciones de Axies que hay. El concepto de “Breed” o reproducción de Axies es genial. Hay que reproducir dos para que nazca un tercero. Pero este hereda las partes de su cuerpo (que definen sus datos y habilidades) de sus padres y no solo de las partes que tienen, sino de sus genes recesivos. O sea que los que se dedican a reproducir tienen que tener todos esos genes de los padres en cuenta para saber con qué partes y genes saldrá el hijo.

This whole mechanism has several consequences:

There are players who reproduce any two axies or without taking much into account their genetics and as a result an axie is born so mixed that they do not combine their abilities well.
There are more skilled players who do properly choose parents with pure genetics so that their children inherit the characteristics that are also pure.
There are even more skilled players who, using this mechanism, breed an axie that is apparently a mixture of several things. But when you examine it well, you realize that its abilities are not random at all but rather a very specific combination. This is how a real monster is born, hehehehe.

The upshot of all this is that the combination of axies that you can encounter in battle is huge. And added to this, the way in which each player makes decisions because each battle is completely different and you have to constantly be thinking about how you can win.

My team

This is the team I'm playing for right now. It is not a bad team, it is not one of the best but it is not that bad either. It allows me to stay above 1000 MMR relatively easily and almost always above 1100 MMR. I still think I have a lot to learn and gain experience in battles. I think that with this same team it should be almost permanently above 1300 MMR but well, little by little. After all, I've only been playing for 15 days.

Todo este mecanismo tiene varias consecuencias:

Hay jugadores que reproducen dos axies cualquieras o sin tener mucho en cuenta su genética y como resultado nace un axie tan mezclado que no combinan bien sus habilidades.
Hay jugadores más habilidosos que sí escojen adecuadamente los padres con una genética pura para que los hijos hereden las características también puras.
Hay jugadores más habilidosos aún, que usando este mecanismo crian un axie que aparentemente es una mezcla de varias cosas. Pero cuando lo examinas bien, te das cuenta que las habilidades del mismo no son para nada al azar sino una combinación muy espécifica. Así nace un verdadero monstruo, jejejeje.

El resultado de todo esto es que la combinación de axies que puedes encontrarte en batalla es enorme. Y sumado a esto la forma en la que cada jugador toma las decisiones pues cada batalla es completamente diferente y tienes que estar constantemente pensando cómo puedes ganar.

Mi equipo

Este es el equipo con el que estoy jugando ahora mismo. No es mal equipo, no es de los mejores pero tampoco está tan mal. Me permite mantenerme por encima de los 1000 MMR con relativa facilidad y casi siempre por encima de 1100 MMR. Aún creo que me falta mucho por aprender y ganar experiencia en las batallas. Creo que con este mismo equipo debería estar casi permanentemente por encima de 1300 MMR pero bueno, poco a poco. Después de todo solo llevo 15 días jugando.

So far the teams in my rank that give me the most work are those with beasts. The Beast-type axies do more damage to plants and also have high morale and with good damage cards and give a lot of critical. The result is that they destroy my plant very easily.

However, putting my plant at the back and as it has “Bidens” and “ZigZag” I can defend myself quite well in the one on one. The Aqua axies practically can not win my plant and I also defend myself quite well from the others. Even against the "terminators" who annoys a lot of people, I more or less can handle almost every time.The highest I have reached, hehehe

Hasta ahora los equipos de mi rango que más trabajo me dan son los que tienen bestias. Los axie tipo Bestia le hacen más daño a las plantas y además tienen la moral alta y con cartas de buen daño y dan mucho crítico. El resultado es que me destrozan la planta muy fácilmente.

Sin embargo, poniendo mi planta al fondo y como tiene “Bidens” y “ZigZag” puedo defenderme bastante bien en el uno contra uno. Los axies Aqua no pueden prácticamente con la planta y de los demás también me defiendo bastante bien. Incluso contra los “terminator” que le dan trabajo a mucha gente, yo más o menos puedo casi con todos.

But, 1 vs 1 against the beasts is a waist and against another plant that has "Rose Bud" the same. It just keeps healing until the "BloodMoon" kills me. Those two if I still don't know how to beat them.

Results

So far I have done 1701 SLP in 16 days for an average of 112 daily. The truth is not very high, but they also gave me the scholarship with 820 MMR and I had to raise it little by little, so the first days were low.

Tampoco tenía mucha experiencia porque nunca había jugado, había estudiado un poco, pero nunca jugado de verdad. Además, como a los 4 o 5 días cambió la temporada de Axie y tuve que fajarme con todos los leones en 1200 MMR y baje un poco otra vez hasta que logré recuperarme.

Si recuerdan, mi beca es de 25% por lo tanto de 1701 SLP, míos son solamente 425 SLP. Si los calculamos al precio actual del SLP es aproximadamente $27.9 dólares americanos. Para la siguiente quincena debo estar mejor claramente así que pronostico que estaría ganando alrededor de $65 al mes.

Es muy bajo porque como decía la beca es de muy bajo porciento, solo 25%. Pero hasta que consiga algo mejor o logre comprar mi propio equipo, no hay nada que hacer. Al menos voy ganando experiencia con el juego y las estrategias.
