After a 4 year wait, the cryptocurrency exchange, Bits of Gold, has been granted the first crypto license in the history of Israel.

Founded in 2013, Bits of Gold first submitted their license application in 2018, and has been fighting ever since to get approval.

The company's efforts have paid off after an almost half-decade battle and they have finally achieved their goal.

The Crypto License news was first tweeted out by Bits of Gold on Sunday, September 18th.

The company capped off their tweets by teasing two new crypto services:

  • Bits of Gold Connect, which is now live to customers,
  • and Bits of Gold Wallet, which will be released in October 2022.
  • I assume that these services are only available to residents of Israel.

If you live in Israel, and are interested in joining the Bits of Gold Wallet waiting list, click this link.

Bits of Gold Connect is an exciting development we’ve been working on for 2 years! It enables banks, fintech companies and financial institutions in Europe and in Israel, to connect to our well-established infrastructures, and offer their clients diverse crypto solutions, simply put, a way to buy, sell, and hold cryptocurrencies in an easy, safe and regulated way. - Youval Rouach, CEO of Bits of Gold

It is exciting to see crypto adoption throughout the world. Slow and steady wins the race!

Shout out to all my friends in and from Israel!

See ya!
