Entrando en este reto invitada por @danielvehe debo confesar mi resistencia a entrar al mundo de las finanzas, aunque felizmente debo reconocer que ya llevo más de tres años haciendo transacciones con criptomonedas, y hoy en día llevo un emprendimiento, todo lo que se refiere a números de alguna manera hace que me haga más lenta en mi proceso creativo.

Dejando esto claro, pues el reto consiste en contar cuál ha sido la mejor compra de tu vida, al principio tuve muchas opciones para elegir, pero definitivamente ganó una que ha trascendido en el tiempo y que para hacerla hubo muchos esfuerzos que afrontar y superar.

Para que puedan entender la magnitud de mi compra, pues debo contarles desde un poco antes de hacerla:

"En el año 2008 vivía en Barquisimeto, Venezuela, en una casa en alquiler, con mis tres hijos y su papá, en ese momento ya estábamos en proceso de separación y yo venía de vivir casi 5 años de mudanzas continuas, al punto de que ya casi ni desempacaba las cosas de las cajas, (siempre previendo que se podía dar una nueva mudanza), así que cansada de esta situación decidí tomar otro rumbo.

Ya conversado con el papá de mis hijos de quién me separé y se quedó en Barquisimeto, me mudé a la isla de Margarita donde vivía mi hermana mayor, allí llegamos a su casa, muy pequeña por cierto, y dormíamos en un sofá cama yo y mis tres hijos, gracias a Dios llegué con trabajo, siendo Directora de un Centro educativo, esto me permitió tener holgura económica de alguna manera.

Pasado un año en casa de mi hermana, una amiga me ofreció trabajar en su posada turística a cambio de una habitación más cómoda en la misma, así que nos mudamos y trabajaba dos turnos, de 7am a 4p.m como Maestra en un preescolar y de 5 p.m a 6.30 a.m como asistente en la posada, esto me daba la opción de tener dos sueldos, así que comencé a ahorrar, lo hice por dos años, donde además los fines de semana daba masajes terapéuticos y reductivos a las clientas de la posada.

Fue así que un día mi hermana me dijo que nos tenían un regalo, nos dio una parte de su terreno, en el mismo lugar donde habíamos llegado, era una noticia muy feliz, ahora debía comprar los materiales para comenzar a construir mi casa.

Ya tenía ahorrado algo de dinero, en la posada me dieron mi liquidación y uní eso al pago de mis vacaciones del preescolar, con esto compramos Arena y las cabillas para hacer las columnas de la casa.

Pero ya sólo en eso se fue la primera parte de mis ahorros, porque no había contabilizado la mano de obra que en ese momento eran 2.500 Bs semanales, así que aquí viene la parte de mi mejor compra, debía conseguí el dinero primero, así que vendí mi laptop, mi celular, la cama litera de mis hijos, y otros artículos que tenía, reuní lo suficiente que en ese momento eran como 5.000 Bs.

En 2010, 5000 bolívares podían ser fragmentados en 4.3 a dólar oficial y en 9.25 a dólar paralelo, en ese momento fueron $540. Nos quedamos durmiendo en el suelo de la habitación, pero definitivamente esa fue la mejor compra de mi vida, ya que aunque parecía que nos estábamos quedando sin algunas cosas esenciales, como el teléfono o la laptop o unas camas, estábamos ganando nuestra casa, una casa pequeña pero nuestra.

Así, que con los materiales ya listos, comenzó la construcción:

En tres meses ya teníamos un hogar mis hijos y yo, luego de esa compra, hubo muchas otras, debimos hacer algunos sacrificios más para terminar el techo y otros detalles, pero definitivamente valió el esfuerzo.

A veces en la vida creemos que algunas cosas no son posibles, pero con el enfoque y la energía correcta muchos sueños pueden lograrse, yo puedo hacer constar que una mujer sola con tres hijos puede trabajar, vivir y además lograr sus sueños si se lo propone, obviamente tuve ayuda de mucha gente hermosa a mí alrededor, pero esa ayuda sólo llegó en el momento que me vieron dispuesta a actuar y a hacer sacrificios.

Aquí amaneciendo mi primer día en mi casita, no se imaginan la satisfacción y la tranquilidad de no tener que pagar mas alquiler.

Entonces, la mejor compra de mi vida fue Dos paletas de cemento y un camión cargados de bloque .... Tenía que contarles la historia primero para que lo entendieran.

Hoy mis hijos y yo volvimos a vivir a Barquisimeto, pero tienen una herencia, una casita en una isla muy hermosa del Caribe, dónde hay una historia de la que siempre estarán orgullosos.

Tiempo después de tener todo en casa listo y ya vivir en ella, pues poco a poco fui comprando todo aquello que vendí, volví a tener una laptop, pude tener otro teléfono celular, camas y mucho más. Esta experiencia siempre me dejará claro que las cosas materiales siempre pueden volver a tenerse, que con amor se pueden lograr muchas cosas pero hay que unir ese amor a la planificación, a la acción y a saber organizar las finanzas.

Here, as my first day in my little house dawns, you can't imagine the satisfaction and peace of mind of not having to pay rent anymore.

Today my children and I live in Barquisimeto again, but they have an inheritance, a little house on a very beautiful island in the Caribbean, where there is a story they will always be proud of.
