INITIATIVE LEOFINANCE: My Best Buy/ Mi Mejor Compra

Today I want to join @rutablockchain's initiative about telling you what my best purchase has been 😃.

I was thinking among the many purchases which has been the best.

Let me tell you the story

There was a time when I moved several times and everywhere I went, it was rented. I don't know if you have experienced being rented, that implies being under the eye of the owner of the house. And that they raise your rent every 6 months. (It used to be like that)

On one of those moves I ended up back at my parents' house because my dad had cancer and was very strong. So I decided to go to their house and help them because they were both very old and needed support.

This time was about 6 months. When my dad moved to another plane, I decided to continue looking for a place to live apart. That's when I decided to buy a house.

I collected some money and, counting on a mortgage loan from Ipasme, I started looking.

Why do I consider my house a good purchase?

Because in 2006, real estate prices had begun to fluctuate. I felt at times that the money I had wasn't going to cover it, so I looked in the newspaper daily for sales offers.

There were days when there were no new offers, I had already checked them, I had already visited them and I could not find anything at my convenience.

I would write down on a separate piece of paper the offers I saw, next to each one I would place them if I had already seen it, if I had called and if I didn't like it I would cross it out with a red pencil.

One of those days when I couldn't find any new offers, I took that sheet of paper and started checking what was there in case I had to call again.

That's when I found a house, I had written down that the owner had told me to call him back because the owner was hesitant to sell. I checked the newspaper in case it had been published and I saw that they had several days without publishing it.

What do you think happened?

Well, I decided to call, I told the gentleman that if they still wanted to sell and he said that the lady had not told him anything yet but that we could see her and so we made an appointment to see the property.

That day we met at the place and went to see the house. It was a pretty comfortable little house for me and my teenage daughter, with 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room-kitchen, and patio. I liked what I saw, it had small aesthetic details but it was ready to move in. So I told her I liked it and asked how she could talk to the owner? 🤔 The gentleman told me: don't worry, I will convince her to sell 😊

The house had the fair price of the money I had in my hands by faith: 60,000.000.00 Bs. The purchase and sale was agreed upon while waiting for the resolution of the mortgage loan.

The purchase was signed in the registry on 05-02-2007 and already at that time the houses in the area were valued at 300,000.000.00 Bs.(claro, después vino la devaluación de la moneda.)

Today it has Remodeling, I added one more room and an internal terrace.

That's why I say that my house has been my best purchase.

Hubo un tiempo en que me mudé varias veces y en todos los lugares donde estuve, fue alquilada. Yo no sé si ustedes han experimentado estar alquilado, eso implica estar bajo el ojo del dueño de la casa. Y que además te suban el alquiler cada 6 meses. (Antes era así)😒

En una de esas mudanzas fui a parar otra vez a casa de mis padres porque mi papá tenía cáncer y era muy fuerte. Así que decidí ir a su casa y y ayudarlos pues los dos eran unos ancianos y necesitaban el apoyo.

Este tiempo fue como de 6 meses. Ya cuando mi pasó a otro plano, yo decidí seguir buscando un lugar para vivir aparte. Allí fue cuando decidí comprar una casa.

Junté un dinero y contando con un préstamo hipotecario del Ipasme, me hice a la tarea de buscar.

Por qué considero que mi casa fue una buena compra?

Porque en el 2006 los precios de los inmuebles habían comenzado a fluctuar. Yo sentí por momentos que el dinero que tenía no me iba a alcanzar, así que diariamente buscaba en el periódico las ofertas de venta.
Había días que no habían ofertas nuevas, ya las había revisado, ya las había visitado y no encontraba algo a mi conveniencia.

Yo anotaba en un papel aparte las ofertas que veía, al lado de cada una les colocaba si ya lo había visto, sí había llamado y si no me gustaba la tachaba con lápiz rojo.

Uno de esos días en que no encontré ofertas nuevas agarré esa hoja y comence revisar lo que había allí por si había que llamar otra vez.

Ahí fue que encontré una casa, yo había anotado que el dueño me había dicho que lo llamara luego porque la dueña estaba indecisa de vender.

Revise el periódico por si habían publicado y Vi que tenían varios días sin publicarla.

Qué creen que pasó?

Bueno, me decidí a llamar, le dije al señor que si aún querian vender y él me dijo que la señora no le había dicho nada aun pero que podíamos verla y entonces hicimos una cita para ver la propiedad.

Ese día coincidimos en el lugar y fuimos a ver la casa. Era una casita bastante cómoda para mí y mi hija adolescente, de 2 habitaciones, sala, comedor-cocina, y patio. Me gustó lo que ví, tenía pequeños detalles estéticos pero lista para mudarme. Así que le dije que me gustaba y pregunté cómo hacía para hablar con la dueña? 🤔 El señor me dijo: no se preocupe, yo la convenzo para vender 😊

La casa tenía el precio justo del dinero que tenía en mis manos por fe: 60.000.000,00 Bs. Se pactó la compraventa esperando la resolución del préstamo hipotecario.

La compra se firmó en el registro el 05-02-2007 y ya en ese momento las casas en la zona se valorizaban a 300.000.000,00 Bs.
