Online multiplayer blockchain game Battle of Elrond is now available on Samsung's blockchain smartphones. It's the first time a blockchain game is getting some sort of platform exclusivity. Owners of a Samsung Galaxy S10, Note 10 or S20 can find the game as part of the dapp offering on these devices.

In Battle of Elrond gamers play in a team of five against another team. Todea describes the game as 'fast paced hack & slash mutliplayer action'. Teams fight each other in a closed arena, and the winner claims the crypto treasure from their opponents. Players can earn ERD by winning matches.

A match takes just a few minutes. Players need to work together to heal each other or take down opponents. The team with the most kills, wins the match. Battle of Elrond is a real PVP arena battle game.

No Dapp

Battle of Elrond is not a completely decentralized app. The game for example uses regular servers and doesn't support player-owned gaming assets. However, the inclusion of cryptocurrency game rewards does make the game worth mentioning.

By winning matches players can earn ERD tokens. Traders can find these token on exchanges like Binance, BitMax and Bilaxy. Currently one ERD is 13 satoshi, or $0.000929. Using these ERD tokens, players can upgrade their characters to improve their powers. Obviously gamers can also store these ERD tokens in the Samsung Blockchain Wallet. This wallet is integrated into the Samsung Galaxy phones.

Battle of Elrond is just the first game using ERD. According to Elrond Network more usability is coming for the token. In addition the company recently launched its main network. The Elrond blockchain promises to process 10 thousand transactions per second with a five second delay.

Not the first game

Even though Battle of Elrond is exclusive to the Samsung devices, it's not the first game available on the smartphones. Besides the regular Google Play Store, consumers can use a variety of decentralized apps and blockchain games. Among those blockchain games are titles like Axie Infinity, MyCryptoHeroes and CryptoDozer.
